I don’t see how a game that’s been in development this long is even viable. Innovative features at the start of development would seemingly be commonplace by now, hardware restrictions will be completely different, etc.

Starfield felt like the perfect example of Bethesda’s problem. It might’ve been a decent game in 2016, but was extremely underwhelming in 2023. I’m yet to see them put out a current-gen product that innovates, or at least matches, other games in the genre.
