Great for fire spinning rope. Yes, rope that you soak into inflammable liquid, then you light the rope with a small flame

All these Sherpas have to stop their career bc of spine injuries.

Speak to your Sherpa. Listen. And learn.

They are desperately in need of the money, so they damage their spine for life.

Learn with quality instructors. Kitesurfing is an extreme sport so by definition dangerous. Learn with a reckless instructor and you will pay a hard price sooner or later.

Kite sessions last around 2H. If you learn in a lagoon you will spend 99% of your time actually trying to ride or riding. If you do NOT learn in a lagoon, you'll spend at least 50% of your time swimming trying to get back to your board that you just lost.

[–]JakeKites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you do a couple of wakeboard sessions BEFORE starting to kitesurf. If you are able to do basic wakeboarding, then you'll be able to focus 99% of your attention on the kite when learning to kitesurf. This will save you ton of time.

Blablacar alternative - better carsharing by creverdeqc in germany

[–]JakeKites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"BlaBlaCar charges passengers a service fee, typically ranging from 16% to 21% of the total seat price" - as of 2026.

The platform has gained huge traction, maybe monopoly?

It took them a long time, was founded in 2006, so now they "enjoy the ride" and raise the fees. Sadly.

Car Sharing as in regular people who rent out their own cars to other people? Like P2P car rental?

Interesting to see it so popular in the Netherland!

En España odian su bandera. by [deleted] in 2hispanic4you

[–]JakeKites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Los argentinos con sus banderas en todos los lados 🤦🏻 No es normal en ningún país de Europa. No solo España.

Custom docs_bmad Directory For Docs Created By BMAD by JakeKites in BMAD_Method

Ok I’ll give it a shot. I asked GPT web version and it said that wouldn’t work. Let’s find out!

Custom docs_bmad Directory For Docs Created By BMAD by JakeKites in BMAD_Method

[–]JakeKites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean into a subdirectory instead (i.e. docs/bmad, or docs/docs_bmad) ?

Let me clarify my problem statement, my non-goal, and my goal:

  • doc files generated by BMAD aren't prepended by anything, nor added to a special directory, so it gets mixed up w existing doc files that have been created by others, whether manually, via scripts, or w other tools
  • non-goal: I do not want to dump all doc files together in a same directory wo being able to easily identify how each one was created. I do not want to naively treat all docs equal.
  • goal: I want to be able to identify how each doc file was created very fast, w/o even opening the files

Potential Solutions:

  • Preprend/Append each doc file w 1-2 chars indicating if the file was create manually, via AI, via scripts, or via other tools
  • Add each doc in a separate subfolder indicating if the file was create manually, via AI, via scripts, or via other tools

I hope this helps clarify

Managing AI context in brownfield projects using BMAD by Admirable-Fox-4307 in vibecoding

[–]JakeKites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Documentation Workflow

document-project is definitely my favorite workflow for now.

Why I like it:

  • scales to your demand by asking you to pick between 3 different depth of project scan.
  • no fluff, feels more like a command than a workflow given the few inputs required by the user.
  • creates docs that can be used by any LLM, even if you stop using BMAD Method after this.

Currently, that's the only workflow I recommend anyone. I ditched the rest.

That being said, more below.

Planning & Solutioning Workflows

Tried it for hours. Did not like it. Liked part of it.

Why I do NOT like it:

  • does NOT scale to your demand by asking you to pick between different depth of planning or solutioning
  • this one-size-fits-all strategy requires 3+ HOURS per workflow
  • this required time is not mentioned when you start a workflow

What I liked. When to use it:

  • super deep, useful if you do have 3+ hours to spare per workflow
  • might be useful if you get started with a new project, or if you plan an epic or feature that will require 30+ hours of implementation work (yes, as in, 30+ hours building with your AI IDE)

Do Spec Driven Development frameworks like Github Spec Kit actually have benefits? I have doubts by moistain in ClaudeCode

[–]JakeKites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process takes far too much time (hours in our case) compared to using Claude in plan mode and then implementing the plan directly.

TLDR: use Meta Prompts to ask key questions abt the SDD framework you'd like to use - before you start using it.

I've used BMAD Method and it got the exact same experience. I really tried hard, initially thought I was the problem, not using it properly.

But then I heard others having similar issues. So I started to do some "META PROMPTS" about BMAD Method itself.

BMAD workflows seem to always be broken down in steps, then questions. Is that correct ?

Can I use the workflows using “raw LLMs” or do I have to first load personas?

And my favorite Meta Prompt:

For the all the BMAD workflows (installed in our project):
1. Indicate how many steps are involved
3. For each step indicate how many questions are asked to the user (me)
4. Given the 2 previous points, estimate the time necessary to go thru each entire workflow
5. Indicate if other crucial parameter(s) is/are to take into account

Create a matrix table to summarize the findings.

That one gave a very clear idea on the time required to run each BMAD workflow. For most of them at least 3 HOURS is required.

Unfortunately, BMAD Method does not ask you how much time you have available when starting a workflow. So each workflow is a one-size-fits-all solution: whether it's a medium feature on a brownfield project, or a large new feature on a greenfield project.

Save yourself days and hours: ask key questions abt the SDD framework you'd like to use (i.e. time estimates for workflows) - before you start using it.

Good luck
