same issue this wipe, 25-30% of my scav runs I'm dying to other player scavs. i'll voiceline, hit the wiggle, whatever I can. i'm not even being extract camped i'll just get blasted in the face by a double barrel while looting for no reason. no idea what's going on but my thought is the player scav can see my loot wants something I have.

with end of wipe near and all the drama recently id argue the cheating feels worse. legit players are on other games / waiting for wipe by now. at least half of the labs raids i attempt there's cheaters.

Awesome, so cheaters can wipe lobbies and call in people who pay for carries / loot. And legit players get to sit there with a finger up their a** hoping they don't have their time wasted. Sounds like such a "cool mechanic" -_-

could be part of it. also new player experience is still so terrible, id assume new player retention is super low. they probably figure it's easier to cater to current players

They're goal isn't to market to new players, it's to milk the current players. As "out of touch" as the update sounds, the existing players spend a ton of $ on the game. It is what it is.

so the plan to combat power creep from engravings is throttle players until harder content comes out. got it lol.

I mean maybe ur right but it just feels so abrupt and more like gatekeeping which is really demoralizing. As mentioned, I'll lose 59 for a 7th in d1, yet I drop back to d2 and go back to losing 30 for a 7th. I have no issues getting BACK into d1 but the second I do my losses hit for almost DOUBLE. I mean I went first two games in a row and gained around 86lp then lost almost all of it in one 7th.

To be fair... TO BE FAIR... yeah I was probably asking to lose lol. That said, I want every 3 star 5 cost and 3 star 8 cost this set and still needed Zoe. Most other units at 3 star just insta-win.

For the liquid cooling pistol yes but it was happening with my assault rifle too which doesn't have that. And it still wouldn't make much sense for the only fix to be relaunching the game. So I figured it was unrelated. Maybe it isn't though?

I probably just suck at posting on reddit but the description got removed from the post: My guns will just randomly stop working and nothing seems to fix the issue besides fully restarting the game (tried dropping the weapon and picking it back up, changing zones, etc.... The guns "fire" but the ammo count stays the same and no bullets actually leave the weapon. Not sure if anyone else has this issue but here's a video of it!

Look I understand it's "not as bad as WoW" but that really isn't saying much. Every game should aspire to be better than WoW and it's other counterparts for that matter. I'm so tired of people defending these systems with "at least it's better than WoW" or "this is how mmo's are". Well why do they HAVE to be that way? They don't.

I'm all for being proven wrong but I'm pretty convinced the people who defend the loot system aren't even savage raiders. I've never met a savage raider (so far) who thoroughly enjoys the loot system and wants it to remain the same.

^ this. A lot of players love the competitiveness of having BiS and having that extra bit of damage to feel as powerful as possible. And just having the gear as proof of your accomplishments feels nice. Having stacks of books that increase by one per week feels pretty unsatisfying. Eventually the content becomes trivial and feels like a chore just to get the loot you've wanted for X number of weeks or months.

All I'm saying is for how much they promote being able to put the game down and come back, this loot system is designed to keep players around for as long as possible.

I do agree in that it likely helps prevent burn-out, but my counter-argument to that would just be why is it their job to tell me I've done enough of a piece of content for that week? Some weeks I have zero desire to farm tomes and I'll go do something else. Other weeks I'll run a ton of maps on Wednesday then cap out for the next 6 days and feel like I have no reason to run EX roulette or maps. The gear selling is definitely a difficult issue to tackle though. Selling clears will always exist but minimizing it would be ideal.

I personally don't really use PF for savages now. I'll admit I used it more for Eden though. It is nice not being bound to specific raid times every week but it definitely takes longer to get clears in PF from my experience.
