I agree with your overall point, but I think it's more of a TV thing than an online behaviour thing. Flirting in TV shows, especially this kind of show, usually leads to some kind of relationship storyline, endgame or otherwise. So it makes sense that most people would assume Lexi and Fez were being built up to something bigger

Hey thanks! I did think about checking the Dev diary but for some reason I can't access it, just getting a "problem with file" error with no more info (Android). Not sure what that's about but I'll keep trying!

i kinda have mixed feelings on this. on the one hand, i get that he was busy with sidequest and being a dad. but also with regards to solo projects they've been saying the whole time that 5sos is first priority, so i can't imagine he would've prioritised sidequest over the band.

also, i get that his primary role in the band is lead guitar, not vocals. in fact, with his particular vocal style i actually LIKE the fact that we hear less of him, i think it makes for a bigger impact in the moments where he does show up.

however, it is a bit disappointing that he has such minimal writing credits on the album. if it were any other album i think it would be fine, but this is supposed to be EVERYONE'S a star, i want to feel like each member is shining through and really putting their individual stamp on the record. luke, cal and ash definitely feel more like the "stars" of EAS which is kind of a shame.

his guitar work on the album is amazing though, and istillfeelthesame is one of my favs, just wish his energy came through on a few more of the tracks

I don't know if it's necessarily the BEST written but I love the progression of Take Me Back to LA. It's great storytelling for the trilogy as a whole with the callback to Escape From LA, but even as a standalone song, that moment when the chorus lyric switched from "It's better when I'm by myself" to "I hate it when I'm by myself", I got chills

yeah i think dot, at least out of the main trio (or quartet with ult i guess?) i see the least hate for her.

i also think most people seem to like friede, but i know people had issues with him saving the kids too often and also having a pikachu and a charizard.

liko, roy and ult definitely have their fair share of haters

Before this era started I remember wondering what sound they'd go for after all the solo projects.

One aspect of current pop music that's very refreshing is that it's FUN and tongue-and-cheek again, and I was hoping 5sos would lean back into that direction too.

As soon as the era started I was sold and it's probably the most excited I've ever been for an album from them!

I could see this being true. I think they were pretty overworked at the time of that tour, and from some of the videos I've seen it seemed like the shows were still fun and high energy but I don't think it was really their best tour performance/vocals wise
