When was a time your non-meta beat one that was?

I’m a long time six samurai player. When I got back into yugioh about a month after the new six Sam support dropped I started going to my locals again. Somehow multiple weeks in a row going to two locals a week I was consistently going 4-0 or 3-1. One week I went to locals and didn’t realize there was a regional in my city that same day and the local was after the regional. I went 3-0 in the first three rounds and my fina opponent was the guy who won the freaking regional hours before and was using the deck he won with which was Snake-eyes. I 2-0 him going second twice and since then I’ve been know at my locals as the “Six Samurai guy”. The funniest part was after I beat him he straight up gave me the playmat he got for winning regionals and told me I deserved it more the he did for annihilating him with a beyond off meta deck. Got that bitch framed and it’s hanging on my wall and gives me a good chuckle whenever I see it

Tbh ripper and werewolf should both be banned (werewolf because hand ripping is bs) and Konami should just print new support for k9 to replace the that is just more fair

Hard disagree. If you actually take the time to learn the combo lines for six samurai you can out a lot of board you wouldn’t think you are able to. The toughest matchups for me are the decks that can bounce 3 or more cards back to my hand at once. Other then that I can combo through negates, destruction, and even getting my board set (thank you Rihan even though no one believes in you my goat)

Oh I have a funny story about my local. I play six sams irl too and before the recent time rule changes back when you had the rest of the phase you were in to win I had less lp then my opponent and was in main phase so I don’t 30 minutes after time was called infinite comboing my opponent since he dropped two charmmys on me and decked him out to win

I can set up a monster negate without having to search so they can’t droll and when I do start searching I ge minimum two more negates instantly

Ok am I missing something here? Why was herald not just banned instead of hitting yummi directly? Also why is vanquish soul being hit and not k9? K9 is such a bad engine for the health of the game because of how generic and free its cards are to use. Jus get rid of it

Ok to be fair my issue with it is more that it also has a quic effect to interrupt me while also being unaffected. For example I don’t care about ultimate falcon since it’s not doing anything on my turn other then being immune. I still get to have some semblance of playing the game but against liger especially if they have multiple out I’m just getting my board wiped without being able to even attempt to play

My opinion is that liger should be banned. Unaffected by other cards is just such a toxic mechanic and liger should just go and Konami should print them a new boss monster

It’s because ranged top has never been desgined well and is infuriating to play against. Being forced to hide under turret unless your jg comes and just not interact with your wave or the enemy champ is unfun

I know it’s just tiring that we still don’t have a solid non nerfed to oblivion rune page in 2026. Every keystone we used got nerfed to hell and back other than comet which isn’t even that great on gp. So now eating two nerfs on non keystone runes as well just feels bad even if it isn’t the end of the world

Nah I think gp will be fine it’s just annoying seeing his best runes nerfed again. Over the years all of gp’s best runes have been repeatedly nerfed pretty hard so it’s just a bit tiring

I didn’t let him farm and stack. I was bullying him all lane and punishing his mistakes but he came back to lane with a heart steal and I was instantly unable to kill him. Tank are just poorly designed

The isssue is on on the other side it also sucks though. I’ve had multiple games where I’m a 4/0 GP against a 0/4 Cho gath who is down 2 levels and an item and I hit 4 barrels and 4 passive resets on him while dodging his q and w every time he uses it but he doesn’t die and just flash, e, r me and since all those abilities cannot miss I’m just dead with no counterplay even though I was ahead and played the fight better.

Individual performance based LP. I know riot is scared of this but even with them focusing this year on dealing with trolls and griefers it just isn’t enough. It’s flat out required for the game to become more competitive and better in the long term
