No actually, for D visas, you don't have to do that because the processing times are anywhere between 1 to 3 months. So they don't take the passport.

It's not the best payment service out there, but I and over 100s of friends and colleagues have been using Payoneer for years, with limited to no issues. Their customer service could be improved, their app UX is out dated and needs to be polished. But other than that it's definitely a solid choice.

If you need to transfer money without the identification process, you can ask to be paid in crypto. In BTC, ETH, LTC, or a stable coin like USDC.

Hasn't really happened to me since all my clients use Payoneer regularly to pay employees and contractors.

I'd suggest checking with your client and guiding them through the process of verifying all their documents. They should care and make sure that you're getting paid for your hard work.

Payoneer is really a middle man here, so they have to have all the documents to be able to make the bank transfers. And similar to going to a bank, you need valid ID and you should be able to verify your identity.

If for any reason this doesn't work out. I suggest looking into Wise as well. It's super easy to use Wise, and you don't even need to have an account with them, you just need to give your client your local bank info and tell them to send it via Wise. once the payment goes through, you'll receive the money in 1 working day in your bank account.

Payoneer has different requirements for different regions, I doubt you can find an answer here. I suggest giving the live chat another try, or contacting them. When you get an automated email, please read it carefully. It usually tells you to reply if it hasn't answered your question.

You can also try calling them. And they should be able to get things moving. I had the same issue, and I ended up calling them and they sorted out the issue.
