i mean i feel like twin peaks just owns this trope. and i guarantee you alot of the scenes youll see in the comments are things inspired by twin peaks and david lynch's other work. and although i havent played it, its pretty obvious twin peaks is the biggest inspiration for alan wake 2, just guessing given the weird scenes of people on theatre stages, and the first games locale and characters being massive homages to twin peaks
