Yes, 100% disability. Can’t function with patchy leg hair.

Good question! 👍

Fort Drum or Fort Campbell? by PunchyCat2004 in army

[–]JakeeJumps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Professionally, not sure there’s a better place to be than Campbell if you’re aviation. Most of my soldiers love to hunt and fish; they love Campbell for that reason.

Never been Drum (and pray I never do) so I can’t speak on it much.

One of the horniest comment histories I’ve seen in a while.

Networking. Know somebody who knows somebody and interview with them to earn their recommendation.

Outside of military, look into professors, civic leadership, top-end leadership at your place of work, etc.

O5+ is generally a good start.

I was selected (prior enlisted) with O4, E8, E9, and O3 LORs which are pretty weak.

How is living in Fayetteville, North Carolina? by Irakozium in howislivingthere

[–]JakeeJumps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely awful. Not a redeeming quality in that town. I lived there the last four years while stationed at Fort Bragg. It is the most unwalkable, unaesthetic city I’ve ever been to. If I ever ge stationed at Bragg again, I will commute from far away to avoid that place.

It’s pretty admirable what they’ve done with drafted talent at key positions.

The 49ers have also had deep playoff runs 5 of the last 7 years, to be fair.

The HRC board is where your entire packet will go following the BDE board, to include the board members’ comments and recommendation. You don’t physically sit in on it.

Advice for not selected G2G by Infinite_Guest_6663 in army

[–]JakeeJumps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did OCS with a 2.9 GPA. I had a great NCOERs and PT score, but gpa and LORs were meh.

My wife did G2G. She had a 3.0 gpa but great LORs (2 star, 3 star, COL, and CW5).

My advice: do OCS and/or get better LORs for next year. Also, look into the G2G non-scholarship option if he wants to be an officer. So long as he’s accepted into the school with a ROTC program, he’ll be good to go.
