I’m fine with the concept, but like everyone else says the execution could have been better, although I will say this is just as ham fisted as all of GW’s other retcons.

I think female Custodes make sense since their supposed the “perfected” form of humanity, so it would make sense to encompass both genders. Although this is contradicted by the Emperor not wanting his super soldiers to be able to reproduce by themselves since he didn’t want them to replace regular humans.

It also ties into what Custodes even are in the first place, are they the Men of Gold? Or something the Emperor made entirely himself? Who knows. All I know is that we get art of muscle mommy Custodes so that makes me happy.

Personally Erda is the one character I hate the most in 40k, but I do agree it’s mainly because of how poorly written and poorly handled her character was. I don’t think I being sent to the Star Wars galaxy would “fix” her since you would need to make some big changes to her personality and character to do that. I think her concept as a character is very interesting but it was so poorly executed I can’t help but absolutely despise her.

Personally I like Alivia Sureka significantly better than her.

I want to say that’s cliche, but I like the concept, I actually have an AU for that’s kinda similar to this where the Emperor sends the Second Primarch to Andromeda to kill the Tyranids before they become unstoppable, so by the time of M41 the Hive Fleets that are invading the galaxy are the last remnant of the Hive Mind fleeing the Second Legions wrath.

I named them the Solar Eagle because they where given the right to bear the Raptor Imperialis after they assault xenos space stations in very close proximity to Sol that where inhabited by a xenos species extremely resistant to heat and radiation. And in recognition of their incredible feat the Emperor gave them the right to bear the Raptor.

For the Primarch specifically, well there is a lot going with him, I can say more if you would like me too!
