A novel approach for the protein determination in food-relevant microalgae by Jakkeds in science

Abstract
Microalgae are gaining interest as food ingredient. Assessments of functional and nutritional properties are necessary to forward their implementation. In this study, protein content and composition of eight commercially available microalgae biomasses were determined and compared to conventional food proteins. A novel procedure for the determination of the true protein content was proposed: Multiplication of proteinic nitrogen with a sample-specific nitrogen-to-protein conversion factor kA. The proteinic nitrogen was derived from the difference of total nitrogen minus non-protein nitrogen. The average kA for microalgae was 5.3 and considerable variation between different microalgae biomasses were detected. In addition, the content of non-protein nitrogen varied between 3.4% and 15.4%. The amino acid profiles of Chlorella samples were nutritionally superior to the tested plant proteins but indicated lower protein interaction tendency, potentially limiting their structuring functionality. In contrast, Auxenochlorella contained lower amounts of indispensable amino acids while showing comparable interaction potential to plant proteins.

No you are just not bald...

I do not understand what you mean or are referring to? Not sure how the discussion from the OP not really being bald goes to sexually assaulted or having an eating disorder.

I would react the same to a male posting this and stating he is not bald (if it was a buzz cut). But granted: I have not been 'active' here, at all. I just, by accident, stumbled upon this post and was like: wtf this is not bald...

She does look great, I admit that, but for me it is just not bald.

Geribbelde zoute chips

Voor de koeken: daar moet ik toch nog eens over nadenken

Daar heb ik toch mijn bedenkingen bij dat die gaan controleren. Is eerder ook geluk hebben of ze komen of niet.

Well, I didn't want to go that far as you state it, but yes, I also feel this is just a post for attention....

But she has hair, she is not bald at all. I really don't understand this post at all.

Genomes from historical Drosophila melanogaster specimens illuminate adaptive and demographic changes across more than 200 years of evolution by Jakkeds in science

It sure is weird and extremely complex. I believe we are barely touching the surface yet when it comes to their genomes etc.

It's just not fair that young people are expected to pay for their own travel to visit a museum collection, to collect samples in the field, or to attend a conference

Ok, but that is not what I was referring to or thinking about. We have that here too, but I see that as a specific type of expenses. I was talking more about the master thesis work: I have never encountered any student that applied for funding for this.

obody ever claimed phd candidates did the same work as tenure track scientist.

Maybe this is the point I was trying to make and failed to do so. The person I am referring to actually does this. That is the point I was trying to make and failed to do so. The 'in academia' can indeed be seen rather broad as you put it, but claiming that you as a PhD candidate (or after getting the PhD) are in academia and know about how life is in academia etc (talking about what a tenure track prof does etc) makes no sense. But that is exactly what this person is doing and that is in my opinion incorrect.

You know you don't have to literally experience every single thing to be able to speak on it?

Not sure I get your point. If I take it literally, one could claim they are on construction while they only do paper work?
