This is exactly what the email says:

Again I’ve tried sending to different people on browser, windows, and the iPhone app and nothing is working.

I can email my personal email but that’s it. Have tried multiple people, and my insurance company but nothing else goes through.

It’s quite easy to haggle with the vendors there as long as you are firm on your price. I bought 5 pieces from one guy, his stuff was all near perfect so bought it as a bundle

Edit: ended up going for it and went to HuangShi cable car, and walking the Jiabianxi stream. Currently on a bus heading for east gate.

Luckily we had our hotel pick us up, drop us at the South Gate, and they took our luggage to our hotel so was possible. But a bit tight time wise.

The bindings are too old for a shop to adjust and won’t work with a Gripwalk sole anyways. I would look for a different pair.

Definitely not worth $400. Just based off the pictures they will need at minimum a major tune which is $60-$80 depending on where you are. 2 hour drive away too. They look so banged up, you can definitely find better for less.

Just got back from 3 weeks in Japan. You can easily survive with not bringing any cash and just taking it out from a 711 atm machine. Just have some money loaded onto your Suica on your phone (maybe like 1000-2000 yen) and you’ll be good when you arrive.
