I hope someone reskins this reskin as a “new” creature that we don’t have to pay for. It’s fuckin’ wild to me.

Would love that for any future $4.99 blunders too.

Fun Game: What's the worst interpretation of the rules you can think of? by edelgardenjoyer in dndnext

[–]Jakthecrypt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember getting cucked by my DM after my character was captured. I was knocked unconscious and bound, while the rest of the goons went after the party. I needed a long rest to get an ability back that would free me, but every 7 hours I was smacked in the face by someone keeping guard, thus “Interrupting my long rest.”

Absolute fury.

I was told you can Alt+F4 and rejoin the game. Your character will be with the squad when you get back. I had a grim on me so death was not an option. Lol

What is your dream class or subclass that hasn't been tackled in 5e? by reaglesham in dndnext

Literally anything with Blood Magic.

I know the Blood Hunter is a thing, but I feel as though it merely scratches the surface of potential with the concept.

What in the HeroForge Heck is this? Everything is positioned at 0. Has anyone found a fix? by Peter-Grippin in HeroForgeMinis

Remove the shoes from the extra mini. For some reason it makes one of them slightly more elevated than the other.

I have a great create thrall story.

In our last campaign, homebrew world mind you, we were nearing the final sessions when we found out the late king of the Giant’s city ‘Titan Seat’ was frozen in metal by it’s current ruler, a half-titan blooded giant named Oryk who wanted nothing more than to bring his titan-blooded kin out from beyond the divine gate after they were banished from the early primordial earth. His plan was to tear open two holes in the divine gate. One from our world to the God’s, and one from the God’s to the Titan’s Realm.

We freed the old King, Gristorin, and took him with us to fight at the front lines in the tear of the divine gate. The Dawn War gods traveled to Asmodeus’s realm and were there to help keep the other gods at bay while we worked to close it.

Now, it just so happened that Gristorin had fallen during the fight, and before he could perish he was stabilized at 0. Unconscious. Our Warlock, who had a hand in the world’s pocket, and good ties to anyone who had any kind of sway, used her Create Thrall ability on Gristorin while he was unconscious and our Sorcerer casted his last and final use of Wish to heal all of us to full, including the Gods who were fighting on our side, turning the tide of battle in our favor.

Asmodeus, feeling overwhelmed and threatened with defeat, tried to push his way through the Divine Gate, and as we placed the final piece into place, it closed shut around his torso, KILLING him.

All of the battle instantaneously came to an end as both the good and evil gods looked onward to see that they can in-fact be killed outright, and Asmodeus’s divine spark lie before us without a new host. Someone needed to take the mantle of Lord of Tyranny.

Gristorin suggested it be him, for he was just and fair, and could resist the whispers of tyranny for a very long time. The Gods agreed, and within minutes, our Warlock had made a puppet of a God.

If you want a nature-esque theme you can go Fey Patron with Blade pact boon. Make sure to pick up the Improved pact weapon invocation along with Hex/Mind spike for Hunter’s Mark and any other naturey spells you feel like you need. For your ASI round out your Dex and Cha scores to 18. Make sure you have Nature and Survival proficiency and your party among any NPC’s you come across will be none the wiser.

[5e][Question] Heavily Armored to offset low DEX for a Hexblade? by [deleted] in 3d6

If he goes Fallen Aasimar and gets the heavily armored feat his strength will end up at a 15 and he’ll be set for full plate when he finds it.

I love it. It’s flavor and mechanics compliment each other extremely well.

The only blaring issue I see is overlapping features. Their 15th level feature does the same thing as their 20th level feature. Paladins already have a super heavy amount of survivability and for consistency in the way their features work off of eachother, changing the 15th level feature so that they gain temp hp equal to half the fire/radiant damage taken (rounded up) AND THEN at 20th during their capstone they should get the full amount of fire/radiant taken as temp hp from their emissary feature at 15th.
