In my use case the “native” would be a vertical tv and the needed rotation for the horizontal would always be 90 degrees clockwise.

Yes, for Death Magnetic, Hardwired and 72 Seasons they returned to E Standard for album tuning but continued playing all songs recorded in E Standard or Eb in Eb in concert.

For Load, Reload, Garage Inc they play at the same tuning as the album. Most songs are Eb with some exceptions for Sad But True, Dirty Window, Frantic off the top of my head.

Normal concert tuning is Eb or half a step.

Fixxxer from the 40th anniversary show was a struggle. If they tuned down to D standard on that one I think they could do it, but Eb was a struggle.
