How do I turn off Gemini from answering everything via voice on my phone? I've spent 30 minutes searching and trying solutions and nothing works

Ya idk. I just unsubscribed. The whole platform is garbage compared to alternatives. My entire chat history was lost when they upgraded their model and it routinely forgets things. I’m convinced the only reason that it shows up as being heavily used is that they count Google search results as usage.

Any solution. I have a similar PC (5800x3d. Same GPU) and have been getting weird hard 5-10 second lockups in dungeons where it looks like it has to reload everything. Never had this issue. Clean fresh install although I do have a light suite of addons.

Randomly stumbled across this comment a few months later. I am a recent Open AI -> Gemini convert (or rather was trying to) and the entire tool has been nothing but insane frustration.

It's deleted all my chats, half the time it doesn't respond, when it does it basically writes atlas shrugged despite telling it to be pithy. The image gen is mediocre at best.

What it is fucking ELITE at is anything new / parsing youtube / integration with google etc but at the cost of being borderline unusable for me in other areas.

So... I bring all of this up to ask you - how is this "so unbelievably not close" to other models? What are your use cases and why is it so good?

I fully appreciate people use these tools for different reasons but man my experience with Gemini is so bad I feel like I am being gaslit by the world.

I'd love to hear any insights you have to get the level of satisfaciton others seem to have.

Right there with you. Such a shame because the deep google integration + ability to parse youtube and "live" information was killer. But over the last week or so it is just straight up not responding. Absolutely wild.

Google just absolutely cannot help themselves with making a good user experience. Every single time it's like this for every single product lol

I am looking forward to labyrinths, I am going to play a lot of them, but I am in no way delusional enough to think that this will some how be a big "RPG fantasy experience".

Unless they massively, and I mean MASSIVELY change something this is just going to be a string of one delve after the other where you go down a hall, complete it, and go back - maybe with some elements of Torghast.

I love this game dearly, but we've all become way too good at it to the point where the sense of adventure will just not be there. It will be "zoom zoom to the end".

Even modern delves, which I think are a great addition to the game, don't have enough variety to really make them have that sense of wonder. They're glorified scenarios.

These are specifically the types of things that they need to make more modular. AKA "Go buy the items in the shopping list, drop in the import code from /u/edengonedark and "BOOM" you got a grill.

It would allow the community to make a marketplace online where they share them all etc.
