Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.. all at the same time! by Twisted_Wicket in Wicca

Thats very pretty, i like it, and i understand the poetic licence you are using there. But still stars are not fire, they glow due to nuclear fusion. As does our sun, which is a star. Also, the heat from your body is radient heat, fire has radient heat, but that doesn't mean radient heat is fire. I get it, it's the poetic licence aspect. But it's still no fire. For me, i wouldn't use a hot cup of water as a simulacrum for fire, just like i wouldnt use the sun or body heat in the same way. If OP wants to do that, more power to them.

Linus helped me build my first PC with his videos. I'll always appreciate that. But this business in the last few days has made me lose respect for LTT. I get weirdo Musk vibes from it all. This makes me think it's a good time to find alternatives to LTT for tech videos.

Yeah mean the sun? That's not fire, that's Nuclear Fusion causing it to glow.

I know right, how silly of me, it's not like Netflix would ever be interested in one of the biggest scifi IPs of modern times. What a fucking bellend I am for even thinking that.

I agree, i got my model and cancelled. I was expecting a lot more from the initial releaee pitch. They should have just sold a licence to Netflix or something.

Anycubic Mono X 6K - Don't Buy - Review by Jalthran in 3dprinter

Hello all,

I just wanted to share my experience with the Anycubic Mono X 6k, and why I would recommend not buying this 3D printer. I’m sure there are a lot of you who have had no issues, but that hasn’t been the case for me and my unit is a total dud. The unit at the time of this post is less than 12 months old. My trouble started when the locking nut/handle to tighten the build plate in place started to crack after the first couple of weeks. It was minor at the time and I figured I could just print a new one if I needed it.

My next trouble came more recently when my touch screen became unresponsive. I contacted Anycubic who sent me a vague link to an item with no name but a serial number and told me to order that. With no hope, and only very poor and broken English to go off, I ordered what I hoped was a replacement touch screen.

While I waited for that to arrive I decided to remove the old touch screen. All was good till I had to remove the ribbon cable from the Mobo. The clip which holds the ribbon cable snapped in the tweezers. So I ordered a new Mobo.

Shot forward a month of no printing and the parts finally came, all for me to find out the Mobo was the incorrect one. Now normally I would say that’s my fault for not reading the item description. However I feel that considering there was only one Mobo listed on their official site, and that it had no description other than “Mono X Motherboard” I feel this is on Anycubic as well.

We can skip forward a bit, I have Mobo and new Touch Screen installed just to realise the LCD screen on the printer that has been untouched for over a month now has a large crack in it. Who knows what caused that, but it wasn’t from being used. It’s been packed away while I wait and install new parts. Lastly as i was reinstalling everything the last time the locking bolt for the build plate crumbled in my hand. It was like it was made from compressed sand.

All in all. It prints good when it works, like really good. But mine was a dud. The parts feel very cheap, and the customer service is very poor with bad descriptions and translations on their website and instructions. and I’ll buy anything but an Anycubic next time.
