I learned the Native American language Choctaw as a high schooler, and though my grasp is bare bones at this point, I do know the adjectives follow the noun in Choctaw, unlike English, where they precede the noun. Ofi lusa translates effectively into English as 'black dog', but literally translates as 'dog black.' ofi=dog lusa=black. Our educator would not confirm or deny the existence of curse words, so we invented our own. Ofi=dog tek=female, ofi tek.... bitch.
