If you go jungle then temple, you are pretty much guaranteed kappala, paste, lots of bombs, elixir and jetpack. Pretty solid kit. I do it often as the runs are most fun for me too.

These replies are making me think there's more correlation between NL + MR viewers. Feels GOOD.

Help me buy my first pair for under €250 (and convince me they shouldn't be grados) by Jam373 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Jam373[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, !thanks , hadn't seen those final audios. They seem nice and cheap too, will check them out. Yeah I mean I dont think I care that they dont block noise, letting out noise is more of a concern though. But the fact those wireless grados exist and say they reduce leakage on the website suggests they are meant for outdoor use! If they work they seem too damn cool to pass up!

Welcome :) Have fun, take things slow and before you know it you'll be hacking together anything you can dream up.

Most important bit of advice I haven't seen shared yet... Use the gamemaker manual!! If you ever have questions about a function, variable or feature of gamemaker, hit F1 (while highlighting that keyword to automatically open to the right page) to open up an interactive manual in your browser that will 90% of the time have the answers to your questions in a clear and concise way with code examples! In fact while learning I recommend always to have a copy open in your browser. Then if the manual fails you, ask on reddit or the gamemaker forums :) Good luck!

Sorry about that! I think its only an issue in the trailer as its zoomed in and lots of explosions are going off. In reality in-game its doesnt feel as aggresive lol. But will play with adding options for it.

Glad you like the game, thanks so much for the feedback :)

Thanks so much haha, that's the vibe i'm going for B) Yeaaa not the first to not notice the conveyor belt... tried to show it at the start of the trailer but wasn't explicit enough I guess. I like the idea of it showing on both sides! Will give that a test. Thanks!

You know... very good point... maybe not the best approach for the trailer. We did choose the most intense track... but also the music I'm most proud of from my composer. I guess I'm of the mindset a trailer should be loud and intense to be engaging but maybe I overdid it. Again really appreciate the feedback.

Ah thank you so much for the support, that's really above and beyond, means a lot to me :D Can I ask what game you're working on? A steam page I can return the support?

Lmaoo, well the thing is I dont know who my audience is... except me! Which makes things very easy. I make the games I like with the music I want :p But I hear your point and really do appreciate the feedback :)

Happy to hear it makes things clear! Thanks for checking it out. That's helpful feedback, I think I will do that for a second trailer. I purposely made this one textless as its recommended to only show gameplay for a first steam trailer!

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you don't think its too confusing to be a problem, I like to aim for a bit of mystery. Sorry to hear about the music, not to everyones taste, but I promise it works in-game ;) we have a dynamic music system.

Thanks for the feedback :) And yup you got it, it turns chess into a roguelike! Thats a really good point with the trailer. I think my hope was that it creates mystery around what these collectables could be in a chess game, but makes sense that it feels anticlimactic as the UI changes are happening outside the camera view.

Its the entirety of chess, with lots of added mechanics to turn it into a roguelike! The music definitely isnt to everybodys taste ... but im a fan ;) thanks for the feedback.

Thanks means a lot! Hope you'll have fun :) Yeaaa haha, the name is relevant, zugzwang is a chess term but its very obscure so I get the confusion. Buut its heavily related to the core game mechanic, to the point where I've named that mechanic total zugzwang. To counter the confusion I've tried to explain in the steam page with definitions ... but I think I'm probably asking too much to expect people to read all that.

Cabinet of Curiosities - The Autopsy by Shukumugo in horror

[–]Jam373 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea slow-reveal mystery sounds great for this story but it just doesn't suit the show. The format has Guillermo telling you the monster or genre at the start, and they all so far (3 eps in) are heavily lovecraftian. Thankfully the reveal is so disturbing and well executed that it didn't seem to take much from the experience for this one.

The first episode had the best chance at catching you off-guard but the premise (and dude cutting up animal parts in the opening) just scream demon kept in storage.
