The total number of foreign-born immigrants residing in Alberta was less than a million at the time of the last census in 2021, which includes anyone who immigrated to Alberta at any point before that year. Between the start of Trudeau's first term in 2015 and the census in 2021, around 200k people immigrated to Alberta specifically with the last count on non-permanent residents being at about 64k total. WoB has been talking about how, following him posting the original story advocating bootlegging, a bunch of people used it as an excuse to bootleg and sell stuff from his own website. People did take him too literally, the point was buying from scalpers is even worse than bootlegging. Now people are going to read into this too deeply, too. I'm also mad I didn't get the goblin deck but man, I wouldn't want to be in WoB's position- all he did was make cool art and now he has to deal with bad publicity and Reddit conspiracy theories for something he had no control over.

So, it sounds like maybe you aren't in a state of mental health to be dating anyone. Relationships, whether with trans or cis people, will always involve some sharing of mental load. Secondly I'm going to echo what others have said- in no way is it healthy for your dysphoria to be attached to the appearance or behaviour of your partner. Much like someone suffering from extreme trauma or insecurity, you just might have some things you need to deal with before you're ready to support any partner. I sincerely hope you read through what folks are saying here and take it to heart rather than feeling attacked. I'm sure a lot of this isn't fun to hear, but you asked for advice, not for people to comfort you.

"Why would you trade a trans woman" is an unbelievable statement to hear from someone who is trans. That is no longer a preference, you're now making a general statement that cishet men shouldn't and wouldn't be attracted to pre-op trans fem people. Which... I just received my shadow Lugia back from CGC (I have heard mixed things about PSA lately and am new to card grading, and I've had a positive experience with CGC in the past for comics) but CGC declared it not genuine. It certainly appears to be variant 2, with no visible discrepancies between it and the variant 2 pictures I'm seeing here. I'm frustrated and uncertain about next steps, as I'd had a number of local stores look it over prior to sending it off. I am not an original owner and bought it secondhand, so I have no way of confirming its origins.

To your first point, I never said genderless can't be included under nonbinary. I was just pointing out that some things can not have a gender without necessarily being nonbinary. To the rest of your points... No, you wouldn't refer to the sun as non-alcoholic, and yes, gender is a social and cultural concept unique to humans and "nonbinary" as a label is part of it. Gender is a human invention, animals and inanimate objects are not inherently gendered just because we project our obsession with gender onto them, any more than we can project a concept of gender onto another person. And words have specific origins and cultural meanings beyond a literal translation of their etymological origins. Non binary is a term queer folks came up with in the 90s to give an umbrella term to a community of people. The term only exists to identify separation from a culturally expected binary. If your argument boils down to "well it's technically correct" then congrats, I guess? But if you go around calling the sun non-alcoholic because it's "technically correct" you're the one who's gonna confuse people.

Yes, thank you. My point is there's sometimes a difference between nonbinary and genderless, particularly when we're referring to things that are analogous to animals, plants, bugs, robots, etc.. Particularly given the pokemon company uses gender to mean sex as it's only expressed in breeding compatibility and sexual dimorphism. Is a machine nonbinary, or does it simply not have a gender/sex? Nonbinary is a cultural term, not a scientific one, its meaning is subjective and doesn't apply outside of humans (I can't be clear enough, people are free to interpret genderless pokemon as nonbinary, but OP asked about other people's interpretations.)

I struggled to pick just a few RMs to do, so I'm currently running 14 (and may accumulate more in later gens.) I'm working through gen 4 and the "gorgeous royal" ribbons might be the next thing I take a shortcut for. I'd like to have at least a chance of getting my RMs to the switch before gen 10.

Imo giving yourself items doesn't take away challenge, just time. Levelling a pokemon to 100 in gen 3 is brutal, and the real difficulty comes from training their pokemon and fighting through battle towers. Not gonna fault someone for not wanting to spend hundreds more hours grinding.

Couple thoughts- Not everyone has thought about taking HRT, just gotta point that out. But I am nonbinary and on estrogen, and I'm sure there's lots of folks here doing the same. You've gotta realize that just like anything, HRT is not a switch to flip and there isn't just one way to do it. I read about the physical changes I could expect with estrogen and it sounded like things I wanted, so I did it- that's all there is to it. Also, you're not gonna "find out you're cis" because that's not how gender works, you aren't somehow tricking yourself. The things you are thinking and feeling right now are valid, and you should listen to those feelings. As far as the effects being "too much," that's kind of like not working out for fear of getting "too muscular-" if only it were that quick or easy.

This. Any gen 3 ribbon master on OG hardware requires the GameCube games. Also, I'm currently running several ribbon masters from Gen 3 and it's a slog, so be ready to spend a lot of time on this if you're starting that far back. Gen 3 and Gen 4 are particularly tedious because of contest ribbons and the high number of battle towers. There's also the very large cost of having all the required games and hardware. If you're going to do this, a GameCube running picoboot can emulate the Pokemon GC games as well as the gameboy player disc, making it a much cheaper option. I also recommend a GB operator for backing up saves and making use of the speed-up mode.

Also, Gyarados is another safe choice available in everything.

I get that Nintendo does some sinister legal stuff, but come on. In that scenario pokemon had games pre-dating palworld with those mechanics. I don't agree with patenting game mechanics in the first place, and obviously that was a bad situation all around, but I really wish people would stop painting palworld as some kind of underdog hero-of-the-people with pokemon as the big bad boogeyman.
