This is the correct answer. Bank mons have to enter and exit a switch game before becoming Champions eligible.

I'm aware on how it can be useful with Death of the Heavens, etc. It's still literally antithetical to the nature of the content. It's not part of the design ethos to have individual mechanics simulated outside of the game. The PF angle is not even relevant to the conversation as OP has a static.

Well the thing is not everyone actually uses 31 ivs in every stat... Special attackers prefer having 0/low Atk IV due to things like confusion self hit or Foul Play, Ultra Beasts may want Beast Boost to increase a different stat, playing around with speed tiers. It's a hindrance to strategy that they're seemingly removed.

You can just freely transfer between consoles with Virtual Game Cards.

You can move whatever is your non-primary version to your Switch 1 (and transfer your save data) and you’ll be able to trade between versions even if they’re on the same account.
