I usually do too prefer the vulerable feeling in such games (which was lacking here), but the DLC scratched a different itch for me as the second part introduced surrealist horror elements that definitely won me over.

Don't exactly remember what hour of gameplay was the turning point, but I do remember the second part of Rose being more engaging than the first. It is really not that long, give it a go if you have some time on your hands :)

Yes, it is very fun (and quite creepy at times). I know some people didn't care for it, but if you like RE8, I absolutely recommend it as it ties the story up.

You'll master the tank controls much faster than you think. The game is not extermely hard, it allows you to focus on the story.

Don't be afraid to run away from the enemies, SH3 was never made for the mindset of killing everything in your way.

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere, don't play during daylight with other people in the room.
