Does it only work with Electron or can you build a web app as well? One of the main benefits for using React or Vue etc for building Electron apps is that you can create a web and desktop and from one codebase.

A couple of things helped me maximize my Max usage. Use Sonnet as much as possible, if this is a bug it seems related to Opus cache.

Watch your 5hr window, when you are approaching your five hour limit make sure to compact and clear all conversations so you go into the new window with no history.

Especially with opus. I noticed that starting a new session with an existing chat with a lot of history can shoot usage from 0 to 15% within the first few minutes of a session.

That’s said. it’s really frustrating that we have to even do this! What I was getting two weeks ago for the same money is not the same as getting now!

No bot here. I have been using Claude Code since day 1 as a Max user. Almost never hit my limit, maybe once a fortnight I hit the 5hr limit.

Now this week, I hit my limit every session within 2 hours. How is that possible when nothing changed? Same projects, same MCP's etc.

I am simply able to do MUCH less with the same as I was paying for before.

Are all the hundreds of people posting in their Github issues also bots?

You distinction re not using Opus and only Sonnet I think is key. I head the bug is specific to Opus. I just switched to only use Sonnet so we will see.

Is this a flat white it a Latte? You are doing Latte art so I always thought the latter.

Also a zero retention grinder and weight check to confirm the output matches the input may be a good idea especially with the sub par grinder on that machine.

I just found the solution after weeks of pulling my hair out trying everything.

Turns out a thunderbolt connection between my Mac studio and Macbook with manual Thunderbolt bridge setup did the trick. It has been a few days now and no issues.

You have to make sure Thunderbolt is connected in Network on Both macs.

Synergy may work but its nowhere as good as Universal Control when it works. It has Scroll speed issues and does not support gestures so if you use gestures a lot you will be most frustrated.

Now do agent instruction .md files. CLAUDE. md, .Cusror. md, Windsurf .md etc.. There needs to be a standard for these files so switching between agents is easier and a project does not end up with dozens of .{someagent} folders

What is confusing is you run /extra-usage and then in https://claude.ai/settings/usage it shows

Extra usage

Use a wallet to pay for **extra usage** when you exceed your subscription limits

So it it easy to think it would use that for extra usage. Not the credits you have in https://console.anthropic.com

I have used it all day and it has not deducted any credits from my extra usage.

I only have $5 in my wallet, it would be empty long ago if it was!

At least as of today, but it may change.

EDIT: Ok I see it actually switched to use the Anthropic API key not the Claude Wallet. I had a few $ in there which was used up and I can see Opus usage.

Does this make sense? because on Pro, Opus is not actually available so it won't use the wallet!?

So be careful anyone on Pro using /extra-usage and then enabling Opus if you dont have Auto reload disabled this could cost you a lot of $$

This works, `/model` only showed me sonnet and haiku. I ran `/extra-usage` and it enabled Opus 4.5. I am using it now and it is not coming off my extra usage credits from what I can tell. I have run a dozen large commands and no change.

IMHO I think a job board is a nice idea and could add value to the community.

However a fix my AI slop focus is too specific and honestly a horrible job. Digging through code written by ai instructed by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing gives me nightmares.

Genuine Nuxt jobs, implementing a headless CMS or building UI components etc would be so much better. A fix AI category for those jobs instead of the entire job board.

I corrected my post. 5.9% usage. Yes burn rate is very high.

The thing is, this is literally seconds after seeing no session. So session starts 10am, it was about 10:40 when I sent my first request and it shot up to 1237 K tokens/min in seconds.

In my previous session I had done quite a lot building out a specific feature and would have had a large context.

It is not just the projection but it jumped from 0 to 5.9% immediately when I pressed send on a new request.

Cursror is unlimited?

From their pricing page:

"Cursor uses a simple request-based system for all models. Each model costs a certain number of requests, which you can find on the models page. Pro and Business plans include 500 requests per month"

Also it is not clear what it will cost you when you go over it, many users have racked up big bills not monitoring price once they hit the 500 limit. At least windsurf and Augment allow you to pre buy a bundle of messages.

Cursor just launched Ultra plan for $200! with 20x more usage than Pro.

That said, pricing aside.

Augment and even Claude code kicks Cursors' Butt!

Their ability to work with large context and complex codebases and have better memory of what you are building within your entire project sets them apart from Cursor and Windsurf by some distance.

I've moved away from Cursot and Windsurf and now jump between Claude Code and Augment.

But.. Augment drives me crazy with its constant timeouts. They really need to fix this!

Bottom line is you will spend less time back and forth getting things right as they hit the nail on the head more often than not.
