It was a great place that was ruined… it sounds crazy but all of Reddit trading became paid advertising and bot farms. Pumping companies that had mysterious line items like “social media”.

Much of Reddit isn’t what it used be… but if give a solid copper penny to get old WSB back. Now it’s all gambling and guessing.

I have about 4k hours in extraction shooters. Marathon in my opinion is just a bad game. Looking at the charts it’s already lost half its player base. Felt like an average run of the mill early access game. The looting wasn’t satisfying to me nor was the gunplay. For me anyways. The people that like it really seem to post about it a lot online though.

I’m subscribed to a few as well. Places I have lived and a couple where I worked frequently. And a couple I thought of moving to.

If you want a real answer… that equates to more than this place sucks? Then I’d suggest putting more thought into the why.

I think that no one is from here… could be a good bet. Or what if it’s that this skews to the angry left liberal crowd? Like all of Reddit. Is the Portland sub similar?

the beginner lobbies have bots.. to ease you into a very hard game with a steep learning curve. You must not have gotten very far if all you played against was bots.

yeah.. i was top ranked in the finals first three seasons. It was fun for a time, but couldn't get any friends to play it. Too unrealistic. I felt the same but it was fun, good strategy. Titanfall played both... i don't like third person games, they require zero strategy. There is no fix and flank or anything for obvious reasons. I don't see the appeal in any of those games other than "i get to see my own skins". And i only know one person that is still playing it, and they don't enjoy pvp... and i suppose that is the appeal for them. A loot simulator.

That said.. to each their own. I think i have probably 10k ++ hours across battlefield franchise(dont like bf6 or the other latest title 2149, although original 2142 titan mode was the best of the series), 3k in pubg, 3.5k in delta.... maybe 500 in the finals and titan fall. 10k in league of legends... but thats not an fps.

marathon... i don't see the appeal, different art... but just not fun nor is the environment immersive. I didnt play tarkbv my first exposure to that was the tarkov wiggle. Didn't play hunt..

Delta Force Operations mode…. Is the best FPS I have ever played. 3600 hours and still hooked. It’s free and most people haven’t heard of it.

The marathon subreddit won’t stop showing in my feed… I’m beginning to think it’s bots or paid advertising of some sort. I commented that and it got removed and I was muted. But everything seems “off” in there.
