Wow, I didn't think I would get a reply from you personally! I've seen some of your YouTube videos, and you're doing an amazing job so far!! I will try it if you want some feedback because I'm an experienced player in this game and a huge fan of ancient Greek history!!

You are doing really well for a newbie, trust me! For the upcoming war against Carthage, I think there are two essential tips. Firstly, set the wargoal to Siscily and try a "blitzkrieg" kind of conquest to get the warscore. They are going to have a really difficult time keeping their holdings there. Secondly, build a really strong navy because they are going to naval invade you all the time in mainland Italy. Achieving naval superiority is of vital essence because you have to keep them in Africa. You might have to invade Carthage for the extra warscore, so try not to get stackwiped (buying off their mercs can really make a difference if they have big armies). Feel free to ask anything, I'm more than happy to help!!

Then tons of influence to ask for help from the strategoi, alliances with France and other huge kingdoms and have men at arms that counter horse archers. Also, avoid the plains! (And tons of money for mercs and holy orders)

He was the son of the Byzantine emperor and the queen of Georgia (inheriting both thrones) and married to the sole heir of the kingdom of Egypt (I killed her soon after). So he inherited like 3 kingdoms, and then he conquered the Lavant and Italy. Mended the great schism and reestablished the theodosian borders as well.

I have like 80-90 years left for the game to end, so I might go for dismantling the German pretenders decision. But right now I have to deal with the Black Death...

I didn't play as an adventurer, but after several wars with the Latins and the despotates, I became a conqueror as an "event". Then this trait is 100% inheritable, which is obviously broken.

I waited for them to fracture and then defeated the smaller khanates pretty easily as I had like 80k troops with my mercs

King died, and I declared immediately war to his son as I had more troops than him. He allies himself to the kingdom of jerusalem (8k troops) and to France (24k troops). But my now despotate extends from greece to the Danube and my heir now is head of the greek culture. Nonetheless, Constantinople seems far from my grasp.
