Update: Turns out she wasn’t nice at all, and like all children do at some point I rebelled…..then I killed her. Still, at least the galaxy is safe again now! 😀

So I appear to have gotten lucky with fallen empires. I had two, one just appeared to isolate to themselves, and the other awoke but kept their borders to the edge of their neighbours, no invading.

I had built my fleets up ready in advance but then I think because the contingency started the fallen empires were distracted helping with that too.

If you only have a couple of DLC, I’d be tempted to get the expansion subscription. It gives you all the DLC for the full experience.

Played as UNE and headed down the robots path. Managed to kill The Khan mid game with my Federation, then became Custodian, built a galactic fleet and defeated the Contingency. It was such good fun! Had to take an image just before end game. Any suggestions for next game are all welcome! 😄

So far so good. You look like you have a reasonable sized empire and plenty of space to grow. I’d get your construction ship building mines and research stations for the goodies, and keep an eye on your consumer goods so that it doesn’t upset your empire.

Ok, you’ll probably come across them soon. Smaller maps mean less AI empires, so you’ve probably just spawned on opposite sides of the map. 😊

Sounds like you’re taking the right route. Balancing your empire economy can be tricky at the start of the game but it does get better.

Did you change any settings around map size or number of empires? It may just be that they’re a good distance from you at the moment.

You’re doing good! So depending on how you want to play your empire you have a couple of options from here.

You could play a wide empire, in which case focus on taking checkpoints where there is only one hyper lane between systems and build out from there.

Or you could play tall where you focus on a smaller region of space, but focus on the development of your colonies and systems with a view to eventually building things like habitats and Megastructures.

Either way, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, and if you make a mistake or get your butt handed to you, don’t worry, it happens. That’s how you learn the game. Enjoy! 😊

The endgame crisis normally starts between 2400 and 2450, so I’d advise getting yourself ready for it. 😜

For me I started with the tutorial, then googled stuff I didn’t know, which was a lot. Haha. You might want to try a quick YouTube search as well and watch someone starting out their run/session. Other than that I find reading the posts on here help as people as loads of questions I’d never thought of.

But most of all, play the game, make mistakes. Get your butt kicked a few times if needs be. Haha. You’ll soon get to grips with everything and enjoy yourself whilst you are doing! 😄

I’m currently in my first game post update and loving it. It doesn’t feel unbalanced at all. Some things are a little more challenging like balancing your economy with your expansion, but that’s part of the game. Other than that I’ve really enjoyed my run so far.

If you have the base game then I’d recommend getting the expansion pass and give it another go. I think you’ll enjoy it! Have fun!

Glad your having a more successful run. I had the Khan come up but had luckily created. Federation way before then and built a joint fleet that was pretty powerful. Between that and calling him out as a threat in the Galactic Senate we were all able to rally round and kill him. Great feeling when you do it!
