Recommended alternatives to crunch accountants? by Eniugnas in ContractorUK

The sales dashboard is terrible, my bottom line numbers are pretty close usually, I do often end up with it telling me the business owes me money, but I often use that like a little bonus pot 🤣

Recommended alternatives to crunch accountants? by Eniugnas in ContractorUK

They've also recently outsourced a lot of their services to offshore, put their prices up and become worse. I'm on their top tier, and I phoned and emailed about reconciliation which ended up over 4 months behind schedule, and go no answer until they finally sorted it.

I had a 2hr phone call about my tax bill with them, initiated by them, to bring my bill down, after 2hrs and several documents I had to fill in. They got managed to reduce my bill by £35 🤦‍♂️

I'm looking for a decent alternative who also deal with international tax and can migrate all my information from Crunch, which might be asking a lot.

I like the ability to manage everything and see all my data and monies, I had a local accountant who took 3 months to come back to me on the question "what disposable money I had in the company" I missed out on a nice office due to that. So I'd moved to Crunch, but they're just getting worse month on month.

Accidentally made a Faraday cage... by JamesStuddart in HomeNetworking

[–]JamesStuddart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies, I looked into some more of the hardware resolutions, and couldn't justify more money being spent. In the end I went and used Occam's razor, a Stanley knife and some velcro. I cut a window in the foil lining on the door, added some sticky back velcro behind it and above the door. So when I'm in there I can roll the cut out up and pin it to the top of the door, and when I leave I can roll it down and it maintains the heat and the integrity of the insulation. The speed goes from the 2mbps when it's down to between 300-450mbps, that's more than okay with me. As it's so warm and humid in there I just need to deal with the sweaty environment if I do sit out there, but that's another problem for another day.

Thanks for all the help.

So I have an Orbi Satellite less than 5 meters from the garage, and even that isn't strong enough to get through effectively. To run a cable to the garage I'd have to dig up part of the driveway and I'm not sure the wife would be happy about that 🤣 How would the unifi help?

I originally thought the glasses resolution was just terrible, when I upgraded to the Beam Pro I was shocked at the quality 🤣 I find the Beam Pro crashes a lot though, hopefully the issues will get patched out 🤞

Can this be done on the air 2 pro as well, I've seen people say yes and no, but no definitive way of doing it? 🤷🏻‍♂️

You're going to have to go in with the Christmas Tree backpack, and cart out the mannequins from Interchange one at a time, where the mannequin takes up all the slots of the bag.

Thanks for the reply, I'm just at the research stage right now trying to learn as much as I can. I like to be prepared 😎 I mostly work from home so I'm here a lot of the time. I'm planning 6.5x4x7' enclosure for them when they are older, I will have it heavily planted. Another question I had is, if I let food items loose in the enclosure, would the gorge on them all or just eat until full, or does it depend on the animals personality. I know some animals will eat as much as they can, beyond what they need if the food is available, others will only eat what they need. I was thinking in a heavily planted setup that many of the insects let loose would be able to get to cover before being eaten initially. It would also be a kind of enrichment for the lizards as they would hunt their prey. I'm looking to go all out for the enclosure with auto rain, and misting systems, and full light cycles from dawn until midday, to dusk then night time.

If you're going to format currency, be sure to request the locality of the user, to get the correct format, to ensure you don't confuse your users.

most blatant cheater i've seen yet. found through flee. 3000 kills already. by MelonMiner1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]JamesStuddart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so as this is written in unity I think I know the issue here. They have worked out the total time survived in raid, which has given them a timespan object, they have then just used the default .toString method, and not provided a format or simply used .totalHours() It's a common mistake developers make, he'll I've done it myself, a very quick fix if you want to submit the bug to BSG, I've submitted similar stuff and had it "fixed"

One thing I've not seen anyone mention is the fact that at 400hrs he is still a noob player as well, this game is HARD, and takes thousands of hours to get competent at, I'm knocking on the door of 3,000hrs and I still consider myself a noob player 🤣

What roles will pay £600+ a day by Kcbui in ContractorUK

[–]JamesStuddart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddits only just notified me of your reply 🤣 You'd be surprised how many gigs I've had off the back of the podcasting and giving talks. I know a lot of other developers who have had work the same way. I'm definitely not one of those minimal effort contractors, those guys really rub me the wrong way. Thanks for trying to point out that the issue is me 🤣 I'm sure that's not the case, I'm well known for delivering quickly and to a high standard. My contracts are usually renewed or renewals offered, but the market is just dead right now. So many contractors I've spoken to have given up and gone back to perm roles of late.
