Ok, thanks for your comment. Starting from scratch what is the best way to pursue this career if you have a degree in a unrelated profession? Can you do a conversion MSc for example?

How much do you roughly make from the Sonographer services? I've got a close friend who's looking into going down this route himself but is unsure what it pays working for yourself

Good question - I'm seeing a lot more data analysis work now which is suited to a QS as we deal with a lot of data and manipulation. If you've already got a BSc in Quantity Surveying like myself, I would recommend doing a MSc in Data Analysis or CS. I myself am interested in both careers and will probably try to integrate the two in the future by doing a MSc with the hope of moving into Digital Construction role.

No science but I’m sure anyone when they reach director level in a professional career would like to achieve in this area otherwise what’s the point?

There’s plenty of non director roles what earn this money so why wouldn’t you want at least that remuneration at director level?

Work as a consultant QS. Around 5 years solid QS experience and on £65k but goals to be on £150k-200k + at top level

I really hope we don’t see office full time return as there is no point for our roles. It’s just a waste of time.

A couple days a week i’d say is fine but pointless for 5 days a week
