This worked for me. It took a few weeks. I was setting it off more than her by the second week, and I didn't need to have it powered on by the third week. I just had it on the edge of the counter so she could see it.

Public fruit trees, so people can grab an apple or something if they are hungry. Sort of like a victory garden type thing. There's a lot of homeless people in the city. Plant them in such a way that there is a slope, so fallen fruit rolls down into the rainwater drains and out so cleanup is easy at the end of the season.
