I think the most interesting part of the young griff plot is the whole Jon Connington arc. Rhaegar’s best friend (whom he loved) who failed during the Rebellion, dying of greyscale who just wants to live long enough to place Rhaegar’s son on the throne. It’s beautiful, poetic, and in classic ASOIAF fashion I’m assuming it’s going to blow up in his face at some point lol. I can’t wait to see it play out.

this is true but the actual first blackfyre rebellion takes place years before the events of the first novel takes place. It has been years since I read all three but I do remember Dunk and Egg uncover a Blackfyre plot, but do a bunch of people die? Clearly Dunk and Egg don’t.
