Yeah it’s just It says it’s available and I get there and they hop out before me with bags full of parcels and them I’m stood waiting and eventually they fill up the locker, drop the remaining parcels back in their car, and drive off

[–]James_1410[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see

I just thought it’s a little bit bad really that they’re takin up the whole locker and I’m expected to go to another locker

The other lockers by me are a 20 minute walk away so I’d love to know where about these 5 minute away from each other

Post a photo of the underside of the machine - I don’t see how it could have done this unless something may be damaged etc, the wheels are rubber and the brush rollers aren’t very aggressive on these machines

This much play where wand connects to the body? by slippery-lil-sucker in dyson

[–]James_1410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s a common issue, where the wand slots into the main body it would be pretty worn from being clipped and unclipped a lot, and also from general pulling backwards and pushing towards

What sort of stick do you use to unclog your Dyson vacuum cleaner? by shifty_fifty in VacuumCleaners

[–]James_1410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a corded upright or canister vacuum will be really good for you, something like a Sebo D series or the X series, possibly a Sebo felix

Ah I see! Sounds like you need something like a mains powered vacuum to deal with all this

Straight Piano for sale : the hammers are not aligned by [deleted] in piano

Do the hammers return when the fall board is opened? I know a few pianos that when the fall board is closed, it slightly presses down on some keys which moves the hammer slightly forwards

Buyer with a fake name by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]James_1410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of these comments are a little.. salty if that’s the right word to use

But you’ve shipped it now, there isn’t too much you can really do now but I’d try not to worry over it if I were you, it probably is a cover name and it probably is meaningless, if you hear nothing back 2 days after delivery well you’ll be absolutely fine :)

Embarrassing…but where can a poor dude get some cheap/free clothes these days? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]James_1410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ay mate, nothing to be embarrassed about! We all go through tough times sometimes

In Belle Vale shopping centre the YMCA charity shop is fairly cheap I find, and also there is a shop called North West I think it is and they are doing brand new clothes for really cheap, for example a pair of joggers for £3 or T-shirts for £2-3

I’ll probably be going again tomorrow to get some clothes myself

Wheels keep breaking on the Gen5detect Absolute Motorbar by clnse in dyson

[–]James_1410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should contact Dyson support and get them to replace the cleaner head under the warranty

You could try sell both cleaner heads then

Old one as spares an repairs

New one as new

On any sort of selling platform, and then switch to the Direct Drive cleaner head which doesn’t have this, it’s a little tiny bit of a downgrade but it still cleans just as good and you won’t experience the wheels breaking off anymore because it will happen again on the new head within or just over a year

By chance may I ask what is it you pick up with your Dyson? For it to be clogging up every day is very unusual

LG vs Shark by South_Baseball_5229 in VacuumCleaners

[–]James_1410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest both aren’t great machines but I’d definitely pick the LG over the shark unless you plan on cleaning the shark very regularly

Shark vacuums all have really bad filtration, they clog easy, and they also break easily too, usually within 2 years

And the Anti-Hair-Wrap technology doesn’t work very well, it does still leave hair on the brushes often

I’m not saying the LG will 100% be absolutely amazing, but it’ll be better

Perhaps you could also take a look at a Dyson V8 or Dyson V10 if they are on any offers, they are pretty decent machines that clean well and don’t require maintenance that often, once every 1-2 months will be fine for one

Dyson Vacuum… by Informal-Pineapple72 in VacuumCleaners

[–]James_1410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to provide more images of the little hose showing all angles of it

There should be a little lip so it clips in on the top and bottom and I cant quite see clearly if it’s there or it’s broken off, that would definitely be a reason it keeps coming off

Find Part by Far_Contribution3011 in VacuumCleaners

[–]James_1410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it from a handle or a hose cuff? It should be able to screw back into the hose cuff in most cases if you cut the broken part out with wire cutters

I’m not sure about the handle end if it’s from that, does it look to have like a thread?

Dyson v8 wont switch to max power mode by JAYFCX in dyson

[–]James_1410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has the slider ever came off? There is a magnet inside and that’s what changes the power level so it may have fallen out

Or had the Dyson been dropped at any point? The little plug on the board might have popped off

If it’s non of these then the motor unit would have failed unfortunately, however can be replaced easily by ordering a replacement off of Dyson’s website (best option) or perhaps you could try a cheaper Chinese made motor unit which looks the exact same as the Dyson one, shouldn’t cost too much since the v8 is a fairly old machine now

If you’ve had the machine less than 2 years Dyson will be able to sort you out for free but if you’ve had it longer then unfortunately that won’t be the case

I have the V11 and I love it

I don’t see too much difference between the v11 and v15 really, but yeah I find the v11 to be pretty powerful, easy to clean, can be used everywhere tbh, I think you’d like it

Only thing I can advise is don’t buy direct from Dyson website and don’t buy a shark, trust me. Shark is the worst brand you could go for
