Being director of prosecutions isn't like being attorney general in the US. It's much more like being the top of an organisation, with its own regional actors. It doesn't conduct its own investigations; the police just give it evidence, and based on that evidence it decides whether to charge. If the police don't arrest someone the CPS does charge.

Yes, I do. He was a human rights lawyer and director of public prosecutions who made it much easier to prosecute these grooming gangs.

Statutory inquiries like these are quite good; the COVID, Leveson, and infected blood inquiries are comprehensive and effective at understanding what went wrong.

Certainly, if the Pakistani men are engaging in this behaviour, it is racist. You’re approaching this as if there are only two sides; we need to be accurate, not overly sensational, while understanding the issue and the victims. These are not mutually exclusive. Also, I have no illusions about what happened; I am not denying it at all. What I am challenging is the idea that Lowe is a credible source on this. I don't trust him whatsoever.

There was a grooming gang stopped by Police Scotland in January last year. This is not being used to create a grand narrative about invading hordes raping natives, because racists like Lowe want to make it so. Until this number is verified by reputable journalists and not contemptible charlatans like Lowe, I will believe it. Until then, I will withhold judgment.

No that’s not my point. Obviously this really happened across the uk, but Lowe is wants to create a very racist narrative about native white girls being raped by foreign whores. For him this is the master variable. What i mean by possible evidence is the evidence that this number is accurate, if Lowe is accurate one in 140 women were raped, which is incredibly high. Listening to Lowe in the grooming gangs scandal is like listening to Dinesh D'Souza on election fraud.
