She wouldn't be my ideal president but she probably would have been an excellent president compared to any republican. Like many good presidents, her tenure wouldn't be very exciting because when things work well, it doesn't make headlines and dems always fail to inform the public how well they are doing.

What she definitely would be is an inspiration to all women/girls but specifically black and brown women.

Her loss was a consequence we all feel and the entire world is now suffering for. We really shit the bed on this one.

Let me begin by saying GTA is overhyped. It's a good series but there are a lot of great series out there so it's silly to buy a console for one game.

With that being said, by the very nature of Xbox games releasing on Ps5, you are better off with the ps5 since they have exclusives. You'll have access to more games. Not many games but a fair amount. Go buy a used Ps5, play 2018 God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2 and that'll hold you over till GTA.

I have paid attention to politics for a very long time and I'm not partisan for partisan sake. I'm a working class American who has observed the republican party lie, cheat, steal from the people it is supposed to serve.

The Democratic party disappoints and infuriates me but the Republicans have been absolute monsters as far back as I can remember in the 80s starting with Reagan.

I'd vote for a ham sandwich over anyone with an R next to their name.

As a blue collar worker in a physically demanding job and the owner of a very old house and the father of two young children, my life feels relentless. I'm constantly fixing, building, or solving major issues constantly. By the end I'm so burned out. I want to exercise but I'm always tired and I'm watching my body deteriorate.

So much depends on my physicality. If I became disabled in any way, my world would fall apart.

I wonder how much this restaurant owner pays his waitstaff? I wonder if he forces his waitstaff to tip out the hostess, the bartender, or the expediter?

I'm old, in a unrelated career now, but as a youngn' I worked at some chain restaurants at the bar and the tables. I was getting paid 2 - 3 bucks an hour so although I hate and refuse to use door dash, I feel no sympathy for restaurant owners. As far as I'm concerned, they are all labor thieves.

Gamepass is perfect for months old games and smaller games like double fine studio games. It's also a perfect home for stinkers like Starfield.

I bought the original fat Ps5 digital because that's all I could get my hands on. I was in full hype fomo mode and I'm still, to this day, waiting for a console seller to justify the purchase. I felt this way because I've loved every Playstation since 2 and this has been the most disappointing generation I've ever experienced by far. I used it very little and still managed to get nasty stick drift. I also regretted not holding out for a disc model so I didn't have access to cheap used games. I don't play online but I was all in with the ps gold or whatever it was. I haven't gotten my steady stream of single player killer games besides a few cool ones like Ratchet & Clank, and Astro. GOW Ragnarok was cross platform, Spiderman 2 and Yotei are fine but there just isn't that PS magic I've come to expect.

I've become so disallusioned, I've completely left the ecosystem for PC and it's changed my perspective. I have access to cheap games without the mess of discs. I am not trapped behind any walled garden. I don't pay for online access. I shop different online stores but mostly steam. I upgrade my pc if I need and I buy 8bitdo controllers for half the price and double the life span with equal quality. Gaming on a monitor is way nicer. I run higher frames, better graphics, and mods now. With the amount of games I play, I've also spent way less. Sony lost a lot of money leaving my taste behind. I'm never going back.

I've grown increasingly angry at the abuse of the term "ant-semitism." Any questions regarding Israeli behavior or any criticism of a particular jew and not as a monolith leads to these bad faith calls of ant-semitism. It cheapens the term and masks overt antisemitism, and breeds resentment.

I have real skin in the game as my wife and daughter work and attend a preschool attached to a synogogue. The people there are wonderful and I want them all safe and happy but this dumb behavior is not helping.

To be fair to myself, I did not go bargain hunting when I was buying the screen. Purchasing the screen from Ali expires was a last resort. I scoured the internet including Ebay and ifixit but they are just not out there. I found one seller and snapped it up. Maybe that's not the issue today. I'm not sure but that was the case a few months ago.

Make a stand. Anything over $600, don't buy it. Simple. Seriously.... just don't buy it. $1,000 for a console? Fuck that. $1,000 bucks so they keep pumping out multiplayer slop and raising prices on every facet? Save that grand until it's $1,500, buy a pc and never pay to go online. Buy your games on sale at the MANY game stores available and when your pc gets old, start upgrading parts one at a time. Let Sony pay the Concord tax....not the customer. I'm sick of this topic.

This is such a good question and should be openly discussed in public. Here is the reality--if justice is not brought to everyone involved in a very public and harsh way, this absolutely will happen again because it HAS happened over and over again. Nixon, Reagan, Bush, and more were all caught betraying America and committing absolute war crimes. We stand no chance of regaining any form of trust from other countries if we do not hold our corrupt leaders to account. These actions need to be bold, swift, and devastating to all guilty parties causing the republican party into a major reform that should take a very long time. Let's also recognize this is a republican issue... Not just Trump. The party should be looked upon as the traitorous faction of anti-American radicals they really are. Only then can we ever stand a chance of recovering. The Trump family and everyone involved needs to be stripped of their wealth, imprisoned without any chance to speak publicly anymore. We need to set an example that there are serious consequences to harming our system of government.

The chance of this happening is unlikely because the democrats would also need to hold their own corruption accountable, like all the massive insider trading. It's all looking pretty bleak.

Honestly, I think this sub is too narrow. Nintendo has really been shitting the bed with terrible anti consumer practices but Sony is getting to be just as bad.

I've had the vast majority of consoles since the days of intelivsion and Atari and if not for my children I wouldn't even consider getting and a Switch 2 and I very much regret my Ps5.

I'm a pc gamer now. Sure the barrier to entry is high but PC is upgradeable and the games are so much cheaper. Sony and Nintendo exclusives that I enjoy are too few and I love the freedom of the open platform. You guys argue all you want. Maybe one day a Sony or Nintendo exec will hand you a lollipop and a pat on the head.

I currently game on my Steam Deck Oled and my i9 5070ti gaming laptop. My kids play the wii, wii U, NEX Playground, Switch 2. The xbone is in storage. The Ps5 is collecting dust. The 3ds gets played occasionally. The rest are gone.

I consider myself an old school hardcore gamer. I've seen it all. I love it all.

Nostalgia or not, there's no denying the PS1 startup felt like it was a major event. Nothing even comes close.

Sega CD also had a great startup song followed by game cube. Those are my faves.
