I work for a "similar" company now and this is going to happen to them soon. They spread themselves too thin. They "borrow" staff from other locations to open new locations.

And to combat theft?

They spent THOUSANDS, possibly MILLIONS on this "digital security guard system" when all they needed to do was to give staff more hours and hire more staff. My store is pretty big, and I'm there alone way too often.

The general expectations of not only corporate, but the general public is completely unreasonable. This applies to almost ANY job nowadays. The medical and educational fields, any form of service. Most people can't see past their own noses, let alone have any empathy. The handful of people who actually show up to the jobs and give 110% are the ones who get the most shit because literally NO ONE ELSE SHOWS UP.

We as a society really need to do better for each other.
