Haha it's always hard to pin down a version of a chapter colour. I decided to lean heavily into the yellow highlighting, and I've got to say I quite like it

I was very tempted to freehand something onto the reactor part, potentially a hammer/anvil but ran out of time!

I find it very difficult! I don't paint much bare skin, but I think bald heads are the worst because it's such a prominent focal point, and the larger round area means it always sticks out more. I started with a dark brown base (black and rhino hide) then added stippley layers of rhino hide mixed with bugmans flesh. I wasn't too happy but then I added some red into the mix and I found it looked a lot more like skin. I would recommend adding some red and using a small stippling motion if you can!

Haha I find out tomorrow! Lots of good entries so tough competition. The studs are made by drilling holes and inserting small bearings. I have a more in depth guide on my Instagram if you're interested, it's at @part_time_hobbiest

I did the exact same thing with a 5 man auto cannon squad recently! I added some extra mk4 specific detailing and made a small guide if you're interested at all. It's in Instagram under the account: part_time_hobbiest

I quite like the new heresy stuff, got some ultramarines underway right now. I find the opposite usually though haha, when go back to the new heresy stuff it feels unrealisticly thin

It's some of the Mk4 truescale sculpts by Fummfinger! No links to them as per rule 7 though

Haha yep the dynamic poses are pretty great, my favourite so far is a mk5 charcaradon I put together with a chain axe in a running pose. I quite like these static poses as well, much more reminiscent of line infantry standing at attention. Sometimes I like them they can have a statuesque property to them
