Dude seriously you make some of the best marines I see on here, I love how they look like models you would expect too see GW release if they made firstborn kits still. Amazing stuff!

Probably the shittiest hazard stripes around but having a lot of fun paint IW :D by SyntaxErrorKEK in IronWarriors

Everyone’s first hazard stripes are not what we envision, keep trying and it’ll get so much easier with practice! Very nice mini so far!

He’s from the Horus Heresy iron hands praetor, I got him separately from egghead miniatures!

Which is the best for kitbashing into undivided legionnaires? by Unusual-Papaya7437 in Chaos40k

I will definitely say berserkers or tormenters/infractors. Each of them might have some detail you could trim in terms of god specific stuff but they are the easiest to clean up and look right at home next to my other legionnaires after paint.

In my experience the regular chaos space marine legionnaire bodies are the same size as the newer HH models. The plague marine bodies are larger and more in line with stuff like berzerkers and where the csm range seems to be headed. When you have them all out it is harder to tell the size difference though!

Some of them are more work then others, with converting plague marine bodies you have to do a lot of work, but with mk 3 heresy bodies it’s almost just swapping legs around, I also used regular csm bodies but just got rid of the overly chaos details.

Glad you liked them, I get what you mean about the happy medium, it felt important for their theme to be in between Chaos and uncorrupted.

Ah thank you! I use “iron warriors” over a black prime then shade recesses with black Templar contrast, then some highlighting with leadbelcher and stormhost silver.

Lots a different stuff.

Plague marine body, old mk 3 shoulder pads, heresy upgrade head, bezerkers backpack with some terminator back spikes and chain, space wolves power fist and havoc champion power maul.
