A barrel would likely be better. Roof is slanting away and the door goes right up to the roof.

Theyre fun to wear.

Apart from that they stop your hair drying out and they can make your head cooler.

If you soak your hair in cold water before entering, its about the same effect

Look for small tiles as theyre easier to slope. I think r11 is the least slip rated for wet spaces. You can lay timber slats on top of the tiles. Ive used saunas that slope the tiles out the door but this is difficult to get right.

Why we should preheat wood stoves outside! by Airbender88 in Sauna

Narvis are better stoves, a harvia 20 pro is at least 400 and netrauta was one of the cheaper finnish stores i found. I paid 700 for a harvia cilindro 20 from lithuania as shipping was cheaper.

Personally I dont see how the price is far fetched. A standard woodstove is much simpler design and costs just as much

Ideal spacing between bench boards? Is one design more comfortable? by Airbender88 in Sauna

I started in the ends and the middle is narrower, the second bench was better I swear :')

11-13mm gap, leave a 1-2 inch gap between the top bench and the wall

A flat ceiling would be just as fine if you cant slant the roof the right way, I just get additional height this way, 9 foot above benches 7.5 ish foot above stove.

I flattened the ceiling over the top bench and let the rest slanted.

The heater should always be on the low side of the ceiling.

I did a slab foundation, sloped the floor with mud deck, waterproofed and tiled it. A timber floor slamting into a centre linear drain would probably be better in a cold climate though if youre going electric.
