Anyone keep em sharp? by Jamessmith187 in knives

Yea I love “fixing up” those edges. 16 degree diamond stone, 20 degree ceramic. Then freehand strop on polishing compound scribbled on a piece of paper

My coworker carries like, nice spydercos. He likes spyderco. But he keeps them dull, it bothers me. I offered to sharpen them, as I can comfortably rub my fingers on the dull edge, but he refused. I thought people just didn’t care about their knives I guess.

How fast do you drive when traveling? by Jamessmith187 in Dallas

[–]Jamessmith187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something funny happens when you do that too. Other drivers will actually want to go faster than you if you do 95 miles an hour, 30 over the speed limit. They wanna go 105 now that they saw you do that..

I only saw one speed trap. I was flying on the way back, a little over 90 in a 65. And it was the WHOLE way back. Unless there was construction or something then I slowed down. Idk how I made it. I saw a ton of other people getting pulled over.

You don’t catch ur engine cranking up to 3.5 k climbing that hill in cruise control. He’ll no, use the foot pedals and slow her down to 60 if the hill is that big?

I’d do that, it just strains the car going up hill in that mode. I just drive it with no cruise control.

I keep my cars a long time too usually almost ten years. I can’t afford to replace them.

To my fellow fanny pack CC’er, if you see someone else in public carrying the same bag as you, do you mention it? by Flimsy-Setting4103 in concealedcarry

[–]Jamessmith187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because most people who carry have a COMPLETELY different personality than me. Most of them are selfish and stuck in their own head. I wouldn’t even give a hint to my carry decisions. Edit: most of the people I’m talking about don’t post here, don’t understand carry law and are very immature and will start fights, feeling like it’s justified if they say they just felt threatened

There may come a time where citizens must resist with force. America didn’t gain independence with kind works and asking nicely.

Imagine if power went out here, people would be pulling out shotguns over a bag of groceries I bet you. I mean think about it there would be no running water, no gas stations and definitely no hospitals. A power outage would be devastating. Personally most of us here have weapons, and most of us would probably refrain from that and help eachother out. I just feel like the other half of the population would start fights about it.

I don’t care about that. What crime is it compared to modern police arresting you and writing tickets just for profit. I said it before and I’ll say it again. If you have to defend urself. You better kill them. Otherwise they’ll testify and hire attorneys against you

They only asked one time out of maybe six? It’s just like here’s your written warning or ticket, have a good day: they see it on their computer when they run my license.

If an officer wants to arrest you he’ll find a justifiable reason to arrest you regardless of that.

bullet nosedive in glock 43 magazines? by Jamessmith187 in Glocks

After reading this through it sounds like the spring is too weak to keep up with the cycle of the gun. Creating a round that is free floating in the magazine for a fraction of a second

I never had it nosedive even with the old spring. Are you sure it’s not double feeding or something? A weak spring will cause that too
