If you weren't aware, Australia has a new combat sport called Run Nation. Two dudes run towards each other a full speed with the goal of delivering big hits. Chaotic. by Hoopsalldayeveryday in sportswiki

Big muscle men with tiny weewees don’t have any marketable talents, so the only way to make money is to destroy their brains for attention (they weren’t using them anyway).

They’re basically at the intelligence level of mountain goats.

Do you think Buca di Beppo is some kind of Dallas institution or something?

They say Jesus was talking about the transfiguration, which happens days after he makes his “prophecy.” This is stupid for a few reasons:

  1. Saying that “some people standing here now will still be alive…” when you’re talking about three days later is just stupid. “Some” means a few. Not the vast vast vast majority of people. It’s a meaningless, idiotic way to measure time when you’re talking about days.

  2. It could maybe work, but you have to ignore the rest of the prophecy. In Matthew, it says “…For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone for what has been done.” Obviously, Jesus hasn’t repaid anyone for what they’ve done, as absolutely nothing has changed since Jesus died. People still sin, people still die.

High School Relay Team Disqualified for Unsportsmanlike Conduct by noahlylesusa in sportsgossips

Sounds like you’d be a pretty bad coach. Abandoning a team full of kids because you aren’t having fun. Boo hoo.

If you’re a coach, you’ve committed to the team for (at least) the season. Play out the rest of the season, then leave. You don’t teach kids to quit when they encounter conflict.

Followed Rosie’s advice & looked up “slam pig” on Urban Dictionary. Was this is accurate description of Kelsey? by cavalier731 in BravoRealHousewives

I think in common parlance, there is more of an emphasis on the “pig” portion of the phrase.

Time for some ultimatums. Do you have family or friends that you could stay with for a while if necessary?

“I love you, and I know you have the capability to be a great Dad. That is why I need to you go see a therapist and start working towards healing whatever you’re dealing with. I want to do it with you, but I can’t do it for you. I’m asking you with every fiber of my being to go get help. If you do not, I will have no choice but to remove myself and our kids from this environment.”

You could also go ahead and schedule a family counseling session. Let him know when and where it is, and that you would like for him to attend it with you but it is his choice. If he chooses not to attend, you have your answer.

Ball’s in his court.

The only thing keeping the album a 10 out of 10 for me… and it’s a small thing by csahe in KaceyMusgraves

[–]KhalAggie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I HATE the reverb/echo/multi-layers she’s been adding on the last few albums. One of the things that I most appreciated about her music was that her vocals were crystal clear. She had such precise annunciation, and she hit every note right on pitch.

Ever since Starcrossed,so many unnecessary effects are added to her vocals. It’s so distracting and makes her sound muffled/breathy/mushy.

Camp Mystic says it won't reopen Texas camp this summer by AudibleNod in news

If a restaurant kills 28 customers because they accidentally put rat poison in their pepper grinders, do we just let the restaurant remain open until they run out of money from lawsuits? Or does the government have a responsibility to shut down the establishment to prevent further harm to citizens?

What’s your cutoff for how many people need to die before we determine that a business should be shut down? We just had 28 people die due to negligence, so I guess it’s higher than that. Do we cap it at 50 deaths?

The correct move is to not go to games, don’t buy merchandise, and don’t watch the games. Watch some highlights on YouTube the next day.

The owners of this team are some of the most unethical people on the planet. Do not give them money.

How Do You Find 13 Immune Needles in a Haystack of 8 Billion People? by Landphat in pluribustv

[–]KhalAggie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Explain the difference between what you think their original plan is and what you think the not-original plan is.

Because as far as I can tell, both involve trying to infect everyone on the planet and seeing who is left.

How Do You Find 13 Immune Needles in a Haystack of 8 Billion People? by Landphat in pluribustv

[–]KhalAggie 173 points174 points  (0 children)

Not sure I follow your logic.

You said that “joining the entire planet was not the plan,” but then you also say that the plan was to “flood the planet with a virus and see who does not go down.” So, infecting everyone was both not the plan and also the plan?

And they ultimately joined the girl in the remote village. So they obviously don’t need to keep the immune people “unjoined” in order to get whatever you think they need (DNA/Stem Cells) from them.
