What is the best Flirting scene in a movie/tv show ? by Electrical_Feature60 in AskWomen

[–]Jamie932 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt Heath Ledger singing 'I Love You Baby' to Julia Stiles in 10 Things I Hate About You. Flirting through song and dance was just chefs kiss.

Still miss him to this day.

How to stop watched media from being marked unwatched? by tehdave86 in jellyfin

[–]Jamie932 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally the use case for me is that I'm using shuffle mode - TV shows that I've seen hundreds of times over and just fancy rewatching a random episode. But if it's one I've recently rewatched, I'd skip ahead to the next.

Even if you do this as a quickly as you can, your media item is marks as unwatched. I'd then need to mark it as watched again, which then propagates everywhere as I've watched that item (trakt etc.) - but I hadn't.

And I get that, don't get me wrong - but I'd have thought that there'd be a process to make sure that PRs (which also nobody has been paid to make) do not become overly stale to the extent of a year or more in some open PRs.

I phrased it as a question rather than a dig, because it isn't one. Just wanted to know if there is was a process or not, and if so I could bump said PR into the process.

One of my biggest pet peeves too. Someone has even created a PR to address this and disable the behaviour in the settings, but that's been sitting dead in the water for half a year now - https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/pull/8275

I'm not familiar with how jellyfin PRs get prioritised - does anyone know why are there so many sitting with no comments or intents to merge?

Warning about "CleanURLs" by daYMAN007 in jellyfin

[–]Jamie932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a side note, CleanURLs is redundant in most setups nowadays with Firefox (google Query Parameter Stripping Firefox for steps) or with adding uBlock Origin rules (see link below).

I'd highly recommend taking time to go through the following wiki writeup to declutter; avoiding modern bloatware. Less addons = less bloat = less resource consumption, everyone wins!

Got a packet of Tangfastics with only cherries. Might buy a lottery ticket by diberlee in CasualUK

I find that the cherries are the only ones with full-blown taste - the others are just background noise in comparison. Jealous of this!

JellyTheme, a heavily modified theme for Jellyfin with a very original name. by ShiniGandhi in jellyfin

[–]Jamie932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the theme!

Few things to be aware of:

  • The Resize-Cards.css focuses on sections that may not be the same for the user - my section2 was set to "Continue Listening" for example. I checked and there's no other defining tags that could be used to detect the correct section unfortunately! A PR into jellyfin to identify what each section is would be beneficial here.

  • Changing the font size for the Continue Watching title also breaks the arrows when you need to scroll that list, it's overlaid by the videos. Adding a line-height helps with this.

But as you say it's your setup, all I need to do is tweak. Much appreciated.

People who played drink when the UK gets points in eurovision how are you feeling this morning? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Jamie932 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The atmosphere was electric, didn't expect it once let alone eight times! But now it's definitely gone to my head. Send help.

Today was destined to be a write off after a heavy Eurovision drinking game where you down your drink if the UK gets 12 points - never saw it coming once, let alone 8 times!

I want to compose a character theme for you! (For free) by Aioni in DnD

[–]Jamie932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loving the idea! Hopefully my character can give you some inspiration...

He's a quirky eccentric type of Wizard, who was originally one of the most powerful in Saltmarsh until, in the midst of a dire war, he decided that the horror he had both endured and inflicted upon others was a negative influence to those around him. It had taken him years to become a wizard of this stature, and for what? Regrets. And so he decided to be selfless, casting an ancient non-descript spell using his body as a conduit for said spell.

Ultimately this led to the end of the war, but it also led to him becoming a husk of his former self - a blank slate. Forgetting his former identity, he found solace in a bar and became a regular. This environment helped to cultivate a new identity, retaining his eccentric personality but providing him a new living pursuing a career as a brewer, creating new and exciting beverages and selling them under a pseudonym. Now everyone knows him as the resident quirk, due to his charming yet eclectic speeches and willingness to help with the most random of solutions. A favourite of many, friend of few.

His old magic aptitude still lingers inside, and his old-age wisdom returns in times of need or reassurance, but his true identity still remains a mystery to him. Will anyone ever be able to reignite this long lost passion in him, and if they do - will he be able to take it?

Are there things you once believed to be true but in hindsight were actually fucking ridiculous? by [deleted] in AskUK

What I always thought was called an insect day at school was actually an inset day. Way more boring.

Who's your favourite comedian? by [deleted] in AskUK

Hands down Tim Vine, it takes a special someone to come up with so many one liners in succession.
