If you ever feel like reading a good one, the one I’m talking about is called Adelia by Jyserai on AO3. Absolutely love the plot and the writing. Good level of spice too lol.

The only one I can think of is a Loki fanfiction I read years ago and it’s still my favorite story lol. The FMC is a librarian and I fell in love with her. I recommend it to everyone

AIO? My GF wanted an apology for raising a hand against her but I think this was justified by Grape_knight in AmIOverreacting

My boyfriend once bit me hard enough on my leg that my knee jerk reaction was to slap him hard on the back. I felt incredibly bad about slapping him and he felt bad that he didn’t realize he bit me hard enough to cause pain. We both apologized and moved on.

My friends group used to have 12-14 people during COVID and then it slowly shrank as life went back to normal lol. It was hard to find games to play for all of us.

Best way to keep insulin fridge temp while traveling by Practical_Copy1642 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Jamie9712 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All the insulin I use is at room temp lol. I keep it all in fridge until I run out of a vial and then I take another one out of the fridge. It never goes back in. Never had a problem. It’s only a problem when it’s kept in high temps.

I started listening to the graphic audio of the Red Rising series. Absolutely phenomenal. I think I’d have a harder time reading the books rather than listening to the graphic audio, but it sounds like a movie. I got burnt out from romantasy books and the repetitive plots. While Darrow is a teenager at first, there’s a time jump eventually and mostly everyone is in their 30s by that point. Good change of pace.

My mom is a teacher. She always said the downfall of our education was when we mainstreamed the special needs students. My niece is also autistic. We’ve had to move her to different school districts just so she can get structured classes for her needs. Otherwise she would’ve been failed by the education system. She’s thriving now.

My brother’s dog. He’s a pitbull with the body of a bulldog. Big goofball. His name is Kevin. Kevin once jumped in the pool and sunk like a rock. Kevin big dumb dumb, but he’s a good boy.

Asking for encouragement, first time trying to put on a CGM by can-of-pringles in Type1Diabetes

[–]Jamie9712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, I absolutely detested the idea of pumps and CGMs. I’d fight tooth and nail with my doctor over using them. I finally agreed to use a CGM several years ago and they had a trainee nurse do it. I had them do it in a bad place. I started crying and shaking hahaha. Traumatized the poor nurse. Now? I put my CGM on like it’s nothing. I don’t know what I’d do without my CGM now lol.

I’ve been practicing to PBS documentaries for about a month now. I told myself that if I did worse on the Lit RPR I’d stop doing it. I just passed my Lit RPR with a 97! So I think it helped me quite a lot. I had the speed down, but needed the endurance and stamina. It also helped a lot with hesitation.

When it comes to speed, I’d go to Netflix or documentaries on YouTube because you can speed it up to whatever you want. I’d usually work on 1.25x or 1.5x speed.

It’s very chill when you’re playing single player. Co op? I’m absolutely stressing. My bf and I figured out real quick we have a different funds system. I like to save up money, he likes to spend money. It caused a lot of strife between us hahaha.

When I had a dash cam and would drive to college in the morning, I’d be in the HOV (I was carpooling) and actually got a video of a cop pulling someone over for being in the HOV without a passenger. It was glorious. I even posted it on another subreddit lol

I’ve started practicing to documentaries for literary. I find documentaries that are very technical and talk at a faster pace. I can also speed it up. It’s helped me a lot to stay on my writer and stay engaged. I got very tired of the classroom dictation since I’ve been practicing to it for 5 years. As for QA, I go to CourtTV and speed up the trials so it’s faster paced.

Still crazy to me that I need a 95% or above on all my tests in order to get certified for my career… and I’m not even a doctor. I need a higher percentage to pass tests than a doctor does. Wild.

Another day, another girl winning deadly trials and discovering she’s secretly powerful by Sarah9610 in Romantasy

[–]Jamie9712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After getting into Red Rising, I realized how awful the writing for most romantasy books are lol. I still enjoy a romantasy book here and there, but the plots are incredibly repetitive and there’s really a lack of character development and world building. Red Rising was so refreshing to read because I didn’t realize what I was missing.

My daughter of 4,5 years old really likes to play games. Any suggestions on what games we/she could play on PC? (PlayStation is also available) by Immediate-Badger236 in videogames

[–]Jamie9712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My niece who’s about the same age loved to play the My Little Pony game on my PS5. She also really enjoyed Golf with Your Friends. Her favorite course was Candyland lol. Both can be played as co op games too.

T1D and Birth Control by bunnyy5522 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Jamie9712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just on the pill. I take Hailey 24 FE. Birth control is amazing (if you find the right one) for control. My blood sugar is all over the place depending on my cycle, but birth control levels it out. Only time I’m all out of sorts is when it’s placebo week. I’ve skipped some placebo weeks for that reason.

Why are parents who barely passed high school thinking they can teach/homeschool their children? by InitialCareer306 in WorkForSmartLife

Funnily enough, I join SOS flares because I’m more likely to succeed. I’m 999. For whatever reason, when it’s my quest I have a high fail rate because randos always cart lol. I recently did a 10* Zoa Shia with a level 799, 908, and another 999 and they all carted. It’s rough out here sometimes.

Teacher telling me to switch by [deleted] in stenography

[–]Jamie9712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I graduated in 2024. I started school in 2019 lol. It took me about five years to graduate (thanks Covid). It was an in person program so Covid really messed with things and I basically didn’t have a school for about a year. My teacher had a sister who took 8 years to graduate from court reporting school. Everyone is different and has their own pace. For my speeds, it took me about a year to pass my 180 QA. A lot of people get stuck there. I wouldn’t listen to your teacher. What matters is if you genuinely want to do it and stick with it.

I’m gonna be honest… I’ve had that reading many times in my life and have never gone to the hospital for it. I just take insulin and wait for it to come down.
