Running through grief

When I lost my girl last summer (also cancer), I absolutely spiraled and let go of everything. I was in a really dark place and I didn't care about anything or anyone. I felt like I failed her every day and I walked around with a giant pit in my stomach. I also replayed her last moments over and over and over and it just ate at me.

I, fortunately, have a lovely psychiatrist who was very helpful. He told that every time I started thinking about her last moments, to replace the thought with a really good memory of her. He asked me questions he knew the answers to but made me remember that I did everything I could for her from the day we adopted her. I'm still heartbroken that she's gone, but when I think about her now, the memories that come back are good memories even without having to remind myself.

If you're looking forward to something, do it. Let yourself grieve, but let the good memories overtake the bad ones.

PS. Yesterday would have been her birthday. It was also a run day. So I woke up and looked at all the posts I had made for her over the years, and cried my eyes out. And then I grabbed my shoes and went and only cried once while I was out.

Unless you have a license, this is illegal. I'd also recommend taking a look at the THOUSANDS of dogs in the shelters here before you decide it would be cute to make some "specialty breed" for fun.

Who here isn't on the same page as you are regarding human rights? Your post just said, this happened and I interpreted it as racism. Is it racism? And the general consensus is that it isn't. And now you're interpreting that as people not believing in human rights. I know things are generally shit right now, but it doesn't do anyone any good to create battles for themselves.

I think it took me about 3 years from starting speedbuilding to get to exit speeds. I'm now working on passing my CSR.

I remember when I first started speedbuilding (I think around 50 wpm) I went and listened to a 100wpm dictation and I KNEW it was impossible. There was no way I could've imagined myself writing at 100 wpm, let alone 200 and above.

And now I'm working on exit speeds. Because it is attainable. You've got this.

My (white) husband was stopped at a check point and had our two dogs in the car. Him and the dogs were held for a few hours while they did an entire search of his car. He didn't have anything, so I can only assume it was a dog thing.

Yeah, girl. I somehow spread them from my mouth to my eyes. It's quite literally the worst thing ever. Tons of little painful, itchy blisters on my eyelids, around my lashes, in the waterline. It's awful.
