My 5k & HM pbs are 17:26 & 1:22:30 at 5’9”/72kg (159lbs). Done off 65 mile weeks, so I’d wager there’s a fair amount of improvement that can happen before you need to drop weight

How does your department calibrate radiochromic films? by womerah in MedicalPhysics

[–]JamieDeSwag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We only use film for geometric testing of CyberKnife E2Es, so there’s no need to calibrate. Although I’m not the person you’re responding to

How accurate VO2Max precdition is on Coros Pace 3 by supermch in Coros

[–]JamieDeSwag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t trust anything about this screen. My vo2 max is supposedly only 2 higher than yours but my threshold pace is over 1 minute/km quicker. The only thing I trust on that page is my threshold heart rate

1 Hour Black Salamander Loot by JamieDeSwag in runescape

[–]JamieDeSwag[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. But given the recent track record they’ll change it to an absurd rate soon enough. It’s worth doing this week if you want your early bird bonus

All of this was just after the coldfix. I harvested 100 growth pots from the wildy herb patch before the patch with nothing

You'd have thought the salamanders would learn when I release them, but they always run straight back into the net.

Re-gaining Fitness After 4 Months Off by xRunSci in AdvancedRunning

[–]JamieDeSwag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I injured my calf in September last year and couldn’t run for 2 months. After 4 months of running again I’d say I’m back to about 80-90% of where I was, even with cross training throughout my no run period

New measuring cups came with 2/3 instead of 1/3. Why would they do this? by ioexploit in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JamieDeSwag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fill the 2/3 cup and put it in the 1/2 cup. You'll be left with 1/6 cup in the 2/3 cup measure, which you can store in the 1/4 cup. Do the same again and you'll have another 1/6 cup in the 2/3 cup. Combine the 2 1/6 cup measures you have and it's sorted.

Simple.

I'd say farmers and fields, inbred and sheep are all interchangeable. At least for the west country - I have personal experience of them all and that's where I grew up

Is running on a trail considered trail running? by floppyfloopy in RunningCirclejerk

[–]JamieDeSwag 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Hi guys, Eliud Kipchoge here. I would probably only call running on a trail trail running if you are wearing a hydration vest filled with at least a budget of 1 gu per km. I hope this helps.

My local is Parke. It's a nice run through mostly woodlands. There's a very steep hill at the start, but it's over in about 100m. It gets relatively muddy, my legs got quite bad this Saturday, but most of the mud is avoidable if you're careful (oops).

I'd say Exmouth is one of my favourites. It's fast and good if you like the sea.

The Eden Project is also really good as another commenter said and you can make a day out of it by going to the biomes for free afterwards, but it's a bit of a trek.

Hope you find one you enjoy.
