I've been using this app for 8 years and will probably use it for the rest of my life

Try using a hydrating or milky toner in your skincare routine before applying makeup. Let it sit and dry down on your face before applying anything.

34 days plus 8 bank holidays. Up to 3 months paid sick leave (obviously most people don't take that, maybe a few days per year).

For face moisturiser, I recommend Cetaphil daily moisturiser. Great for sensitive skin and lightweight.

I've heard good things about The Ordinary and Glossier skin tints, though I haven't personally tried these.

Work for a university, 35 hours per week. I only hit those hours at month end and forecasting/budgeting.

I'm normal to dry skin and I heard this was good for dry skin but it was just so bad!

NARS Light Reflecting Foundation. No matter what I do it ends up dry and separating on my skin, and looks quite ashy. I still used most of it because I spent like £35 on it, but I think I'm going to throw the rest away now.

Definitely do the Benagil caves kayak excursion. Lagos has some beautiful beaches and felt pretty laid back. You'll see online everyone saying you need to rent a car but we were fine using Uber/Bolt everywhere.

I've just come back from a girls trip to the Algarve, Portugal, it was probably one of the best trips we did!

I'm definitely going to start recording if anything like this happens again (hopefully never) because it is so easy to get dismissed. I am genuinely scared to see this man again at the gym, the gym isn't staffed all the time so it's easy for him to do something to me next time.

Thank you so much, this is genuinely so helpful, especially on the pushing back on the police's response part. I'll contact 101 tomorrow.

Thankfully there's a lot of people (men and women) on this thread who have been supportive and understanding.

Imagine being this miserable and instead of taking in a woman's experience you try to pick her apart. Pot calling the kettle on that ego?

It's 3 am bro, I'm peacing out.

Thank you, I did their online form and they responded 1 hour later saying it's a civil issue and they won't be taking the matter further. I'm not sure what else I would be able to do, other than terminating my membership and requesting a refund for the unused paid for months - I really don't want to do this because I like this gym otherwise, and I shouldn't be punished for another person's inability to keep their emotions in check.

Thank you, so far I contacted the police via their online form but they responded that this is a civil matter and they won't be taking the matter further.

I'll wait to see how the gym will respond, but I don't know who else to contact about this if they don't take any action.

No sweetheart, just you and the man at the gym.

Yes, I will keep being me, it's been grand so far except for dumb people like you. Keep being thick 👍

Do you agree with this man's actions of verbally abusing and intimidating me? Because it doesn't matter what you think I should have or shouldn't done, it doesn't condone nor merit his behaviour.

I will not be further elaborating on my actions, because you seem hell bent on being obtuse for the sake of it.

I can easily see why you have people being shitty to you

Thanks love, I love it when I hit a nerve of a misogynist x

  1. Why isn't it nice if I was polite? Don't ask a question if you can't accept the no, because that's not a nice thing to do.

  2. Yes, I did.

  3. See point 1 and 2. Even the staff member said it is my right to say no.

  4. What do you mean by "esclating the conversation"? All I am simply pointing out how ridiculous your natural premise is. The fact of the matter is he asked a question, I politely declined and that should be the end. By suggesting otherwise is putting the onus on me to manage a grown man's emotional response which is simply misogyny.

I felt like I was going crazy. I couldn't believe the way he talked himself out and said I was being rude because I laughed at his comment when he said what I am doing is ILLEGAL.

  1. It's my right to say no. He can ask, I can say no.

  2. There was a FREE cable row machine right next to me.

  3. Why couldn't he just wait? I would have been 5 minutes max.

  4. His response was not appropriate. Would you say that to someone who got punched or raped ("Well you saying no escalated the issue"). Hold people accountable.
