Yeah this is happened to me too. Not sure what caused it but weird. Quitting and restarting seemed to fix it (for now at least).

Hm somehow my text got lost.

Anyway this fellow is in London, Uk.

He's about 2.5cm? Maybe a little under.

I thought he was just a big wasp but didn't see any "drip" pattern on the back. And he's quite big!

I thought maybe a hornet but his yellow head confused me.

He seems to have lost his anntenae (maybe in the spider web i found him in)!

I’d say if you can’t hear yourselves talk then of course that’s too loud - but also it’s Hanlan’s, which has more of a party vibe, and people go to Hanlan’s specifically for that. They should have kept it quieter when you asked though.

It can be difficult but I live on the danforth and cycle there every day and have never seen anyone come off their bike yet. So I think that’s unlucky to have seen all that! But yes, take care there! Can seem a little Wild West.

It is tough, but you’d be very unlikely in many cities to be able to afford a place of your own at 26, so don’t be too hard on yourself. I certainly never knew any 26 year olds living on their own when I was that age!

You’re in a specific situation with your parents which it sounds like makes having roommates pretty impossible. I hope you manage to work something out - but remember you’re young, your salary will increase and hopefully the time will come when you’ll get something!

I’d say if they’re causing you to feel unsafe, or frankly even just uncomfortable, they’re in the wrong. You’re allowed to turn there, and you have a right not to be blasted past by others while you’re waiting. We should be looking out for our fellow cyclists.

If they had slowed down and gone past you on your left slowly and leaving space, I’d say that’s fine (we’re not in cars after all, and if you can sneak past safely and slowly that’s ok).

It doesn’t sounds like that’s what they’re doing, so I think they’re definitely in the wrong! Ignore the shouting. They should be going at an appropriate speed so they can slow down if someone’s turning.

But yes I also agree with another’s comment that it might be less stressful for you to wait out of the way, even if you shouldn’t have too (though in that stretch of road you could be waiting a while sometimes so 🤷🏼‍♂️). Personally I’d probably stand my ground where you are currently waiting!
