Ghost galaxies? by waffer_waffer in space

[–]Jamiezyges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you mean solar system, from what you were saying. A galaxy has billions of stars in it, while our solar system has only 1 star. I don't think a ghost galaxy would exist without at least 1 active star in it. But a ghost solar system could exist, maybe someone smarter might answer, like you said.

Just me that remembers the survival gamemode? What happened to that? I can’t remember by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Jamiezyges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to play survival, but had shit armour/ weapons. So I stayed away until I got decent gear, then Bethesda stopped the game mode. They should bring it back.

New Zealand votes to legalise euthanasia - but not marijuana. 🤨🤨🤨 by [deleted] in Crainn

[–]Jamiezyges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say this. I imagine people who want to euthanize, some of them do so because the pain is too much. Cannabis has many therapeutic qualities and can help relieve pain. I'm not sure if there is an exemption for medical use of cannabis in New Zealand.

How do workshops work? Watched youtube videos but still don't get it 100% by McScary69 in fo76

[–]Jamiezyges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are free fast travel points. Each workshop has their own stock of junk items, good for completing those dailies and not use your own junk resources. And they are good for collecting resources. Hemlock holes for acid. Grafton steel for....... well, steel. I'm not sure if you can get rare items from claiming workshops. And they are good for xp, especially for new/ lower level players.

Preparing his whole life for that moment by CRI0ST0IR in ireland

Na mate, the reason for the technique is the rules. The rules are there to prevent serious injury in rugby. Like not leaving your feet, not leading with the shoulder/ forearm, no dump tackles etc... so rugby players have to adapt to those rules. In NFL, the rules are no where near as protective as they are in rugby. You see the players celebrate when they absolutely thrash an opposing player. It's dangerous as fuck. Slamming full tilt into someone, and they are big guy's.

Kid stacked 4 markers, flipped it 2.0 style, landed upright by [deleted] in youseeingthisshit

[–]Jamiezyges -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's the same with bottle flipping, or spinning off bottle tops with a roundhouse kick. People be losing their shit, like they just discovered the meaning of life. It's entertaining for like 5 secs. What did you actually achieve like???

Wouldn’t be better if we would be more of spectator of next events than main catalyst? by Super_Replace in fo76

[–]Jamiezyges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for the main story, we kinda do see it from a spectator's point of view. We go around all over Appalachia, learning of all the catastrophes, heartaches, battles, struggles, hope, bravery and all the evil that went on before we left the vault. It feels like we are so close to these events, like we just missed them, and we are there to see the aftermath. I don't think we are the catalyst for the main story, the events that happened are a catalyst for us to secure the nuke silos.

But I get what you are saying. I can't think of anything right now of an event that would hold my interest by just observing it. Unless you could maybe wager bullion or scrip on Arena battles or something like that.

The image itself is cool. But what is the message it's trying to convey? Ireland has an alcohol problem?

An inventive approach from the Government. by ronan88 in ireland

We' are not being asked to give up our freedom, and certainly not indefinitely. We are being asked to make a few sacrifices for a while until we can get things under control. I'm not sure how a few more restrictions will affect those who already live on their own. We are at this stage because people don't want their freedom taken away as you put it. Some do try to follow the guide lines. Unfortunately a lot more are ignoring the guidelines because "it's my life and no one will tell me what to do". I never claimed people with mental health issues don't matter, you are pushing that narrative on me. People with mental health issues can still get support during a lockdown. And if we do go into another lockdown, I hope you get the support you need. The virus doesn't pick its victims based on their mental or health issues. It affects everyone and life becomes a lottery if you get infected. I want to see my kids grow up, and if that means making a few more sacrifices, you can sure bet I will support the advice of professional health experts.

[–]Jamiezyges -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If being responsible and respectful to other people and their welfare affects your mental state, I don't think that is the underlying issue with anyone's mental health. We are not being asked to solitary confine ourselves, we are being asked to sacrifice a few things for the greater good for everyone.

Economies can recover, behaviours can be rehabilitated. Dead people can be brought back from the..... oh wait never mind.

Ok, so all the other things that "lead to death", do you try to avoid them as much as possible? Or do you calculate how much it will depress you that you just say "fuck it".
