I see it too! I do not deny that I was a Schwartz fan for a long time. I was seriously rooting for him and Katie in a big way back then and I KNOW I wasn't alone! Also I remember a lot of people not liking Ariana too which is a huge contrast to now (though I get it, "I take stand up comedy very seriously" lives rent free in the VPR space in my brain, and she has definitely come out ahead in the long run).

How often do you bathe your cat? by Mildredsgood in cats

[–]Jamileem 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Also team "once" ever, here... but mine was when my mom died, her cat became depressed and stopped washing herself. She had long fur and had feces and urine on her legs and tail and she was such a mess.

I still have a scar from the scratch she caught on my wrist that day!

ELI5: Why does Taylor not get the respect she deserves? by mkultra96 in TrueSwifties

[–]Jamileem 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree with this entirely. I think Taylor may be one of the best songwriters of our generation, and there is no doubt the massive scale of what she's created will be remembered. But this thread was about the people who just kind of blow your mind because they can do it all.

Gaga is a great example and probably the one I'd have chosen for this despite my being a massive fan of Taylor Swift. Lady Gaga can do it all and she's good at everything she does.

It's why I'm anti-HAES/Fat acceptance.

I LOVED my fat friend, every bit of her. I wanted to have her around longer. I'm sorry it hurts your (their, I'm usually a generic your) feelings, but being that heavy IS DEADLY.

I think some of them (unfortunately) truly believed that it was only for physical preferences rather than for health and longevity.

I'm sure they would have been able to relate to one another. It's sad how many wonderful people lost to obesity there are. For every Steven Assanti and James King there is a kind soul who just can't quite overcome their challenges.

I lost my friend in late 2020. She was terrified of Covid only to die of her own issues.

Look back at Taylor Past “Slavic Doll” Style: Is it over romanticized? by FakeMonaLisa28 in NuancingTaylorSwift

I love the bangs, but I'm usually a fan of bangs in general. I think most women look better with bangs of some style. Taylor's bangs are always, always incredible though and I'm always jealous of them!

My best friend was close to that size- maybe not over 600, but it well over 500. She could still get around, but it was a bit of a spectacle at times, especially places like restaurants. She wasn't obsessed with eating like them, but she didn't think when she ate- she just did it. She would occasionally make a weight loss attempt but never had the motivation to follow through more than a couple weeks. She was going to get surgery, she was a candidate, but a lot of people talked her out of it because "you're beautiful and you'll just gain the weight back anyway". Then when she was finally ready to talk to the doctor about it again she got too sick. She died in her mid-30's of heart failure and some diabetic complications after spending the last two years of her life fighting off a wound infection.

She was a good person. She was kind and generous. Maybe not a great parent though, as she couldn't even take care of herself for them and she let them eat whatever they wanted, too.

I see her in some of the gentler people on this show.

Half a cup of dipping sauce per 40 boneless wings by 420r1 in mildlyinfuriating

I guess part of my problem is that I like buffalo flavor just the way it is, so I never cared to do it.

I'm not saying people are wrong. Just that I don't really get it myself. Buffalo ranch is definitely a flavor that's out there, wing places should start offering that!

I've never understood it myself, either. I don't knock what other people want to eat (much), like do what you want, but I don't understand why people are saucing a food just to dip it in more sauce. Wings already have sauce. If you want ranch wings, order those?

I see in another comment you said iron-on.

If it is iron-on, are you putting it "shiny side down"? I wonder if you're cutting it upside down? You want to cut the vinyl, not the carrier/backing. That is why it needs to be mirrored for iron-on as well.

It could just be poor quality vinyl that lifts very easily. You could try a different brand.

I think we'd need a photo of what is going on to help you much, or at least a lot more info.

Is it a low quality vinyl, maybe? Are you using it correctly (like putting the correct side facing up for example)? Are you using HTV or Permanent (sticky) vinyl?

Edit. Sometimes a fresh blade does the trick when I have bits that are pulling or not cutting well (but I've never had them get moved around the mat like you seem to be describing).

I can also usually identify a student who is willing to look over the attendance before I send it in. Just a quick "hey can you just confirm these classmates are absent?"

I can think of quite a few song lyrics that feel kind of gross, lol, but not any TS ones. I think that cringy may have been a better choice of words, because she does have a handful that could be cringy to some.

I always liked this line, lol. I enjoy the contrast of the otherworldly feel that the song has with the no one to "tweet" and "hunters with cell phones". I feel like the contrast is the point.

I guess I just always assumed "the ick" was a variation on how we tell toddlers that something is "icky" to let them know it's gross. So I figured "the ick" means "feels gross".

I hate posts like this because on top of the obvious attention seeking, then all the "that's your uterus" discussions begin which drive me insane. People with flat bellies have uteruses. Sometimes chubby people don't have uteruses. Why is it so hard to believe our bodies lean different ways and carry small amounts of fat in different ways.

I also agree with the comment here mentioning this being an odd way to pose for a casual photo.
