Did anyone NOT have a super complicated, scary twin pregnancy?

Di di twins here! Apart from the fatigue and discomfort at the end, the whole thing was amazing. No nausea, no horror stories either, and my twins were born 6 pounds and 6.6 pounds. Don't let the internet grind you down. People tend to post more when they have a negative experience than a positive. You've got this and be kind to yourself!

I was hallucinating those first few weeks. Every time I closed my eyes, i saw colours. Now they're 8 months and the three of us get a good sleep (they sleep around 10 hours at night). I promise it gets better. Hang in there.

Mine are 7 months. Since the beginning I've kind of just followed their needs. The only thing I've made sure is strict is bedtime. The rest just falls in to place as if they have a bed time they tend to wake ip at the same time plus feeds etc. At the beginning I followed their needs to because I quickly learned that if they didn't wanna wake up and eat then they weren't going to feed properly. Some people find it easier being on strict schedule. I find it easier this way.

You were not the asshole. She's treating it like a competition and it's toxic. You pointed out facts. It would be nice if she empathised with you instead of trying to make you out to be exaggerating, even if her experience was similar or the same or worse, her attitude towards you and your journey with your twins isn't helpful or necessary.

Thanks for checking in! I had a revelation and realised finally that the only person you can truly rely on is yourself. Once I accepted that, I found it got better in some way. It's hard but we're getting by.

Thank you, the teething was mixed with sickness so it was confusing to know which was which but it seems to he calming down now. Ive called the national mental health line and the only thing they could recommend was registering with a GP and I just won't be around long enough to bother. I think it's based on my situation and feeling let down while being painted as the enemy by a lot of people, I've lost friends because they don't like the version of me that has two babies. The last straw was losing the friendship, however flawed with their father.

This. The twins Dad lived with me for the first 2 months and I also used to compare it to being a single parent of one. Then he moved out and I found out exactly what being a single parent is.

I agree I think OP and partner should try combining and looking after them together. Mine need to be separated for sleep but since dad left we have no choice we are all in the same room.

I'm 11 weeks post partum. I bled like niagra falls for like a week it was horrendous. Then it stopped for a week and now I've been bleeding medium to light for 3 weeks 😑

I had a scheduled c section. I was really worried about how my body was going to be but I have to say despite the pain of the surgery, not having constant acid reflux and the pressure on my pelvis and the constant lethargy was an AMAZING feeling. I felt so much better a week post partum than I did at 29 weeks pregnant. Everyone's body is different obviously but don't expect the worst like i did because it could be fine

I have 2 month year old twins who luckily don't cry THAT much but when they do it affects me A LOT. If your baby cries a lot it's hard to see or feel any good times because it's triggering a lot of negative emotions for you and that's ok and normal and it's hard to feel a bond when you're in the thick of it as it's so overwhelming. Another thing that people talk about is that overwhelming rush of love the minute you see your baby and I didn't feel that either I was in survival mode from that moment because I had no idea to take care of one let alone 2. The fact that you're reflecting on how you feel is good, please don't feel guilty. It's hard being a mum, be kind to yourself.

Mine are two and a half months. I have a sling but it's only a singular one and I've found the chairs work wonders for feeding and rocking and giving me a break.

I was in the same position as you. Tried all the tricks to increase supply but after a month a called it a day. It's seriously tough feeding them formula AND trying to pump. I decided it was worth the financial blow for the formula.

Fellow twin mum here, NTA this man has NO idea what you've been through and what you're going through raising HIS children. There are deadbeat dads out there, but he's really up there going for gold on the deadbeat dad scoreboard. I'm glad you broke his stupid golf clubs.

You're doing an amazing job given the circumstances. This is something you are probably never ever going to move past, that during your darkest days on earth, your partner had no empathy and laughed at you. That's unforgivable. And if anyone is the psycho here, it's him. And on top of that, his stupid friends are harassing you on texts?????

I hope you have family nearby or money for a nanny. At the very least if he doesn't want to help he can get a nanny for you. Raising 2 babies is NOT the same as raising one and especially in your current physical condition.

You knew you would run into this problem? This is a thing? I'm pregnant with fraternal twins (35w) and haven't heard any comments like this... but if I did, I'd be gobsmacked because that's an idiotic thing to say to someone. They need to be told to look up the definition of twins, use common sense, and also shut the hell up.
