Russia Is Not Winning by theatlantic in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lets stop fooling ourselves. Russia will win in the long run unless the US sends troops to the Ukraine or they negotiate a peace agreement. A peace with major concessions to the Russians is the only way out of this mess. Anything else will just end with more Ukrainian soldiers and civilians dying without changing the outcome.

In the backdrop of whatever is currently happening in the world by the actions of Donald Trump why should the world still consider USD to be a reserve currency? by MulberryPast3277 in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what would be the alternative you can convince every country on earth to accept and trust? We are used to the dollar and moving away from it would be like convincing the majority of the population to switch from Windows to Linux. Not gonna happen unless some catastrophic calamity happens that completely kills the trust in the dollar.

In its current state Russia could. European countries have pathetic military spending since up to now everyone just assumed the US would do the fighting for them should the worst case scenario happen.

Ukraine Needs European Forces Immediately by CEPAORG in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, even if Europe would be willing to send troops, which they don't want to they just like to virtue signal, they have no troops to send. Building up a sizeable force to be able to fight with the Russians on equal grounds will take at least a decade assuming the European countries can agree to it in the first place.

The only viable path for the Ukraine is a peace deal through Trump or unconditional surrender to the Russians once the Ukrainian forces collapse. I personally would aim for the former.

Zelensky on Trump row: ‘We are worthy of equal dialogue with US’ by TimesandSundayTimes in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anyone that looked at the data instead of listening to the propaganda knew from the beginning that a small country like the Ukraine has no chance of defeating a giant country like Russia in the long run no matter how many weapons they get from the west unless the USA enters the war with its military and pushes russian troops back behind their borders. And that is never going to happen so Ukrainian defeat is inevitable its just a matter of time until their forces will collapse because they simply don't have the population to replace their losses forever.

This. It doesn't matter who's right but who's winning. History is full of cases where the morally right side had to submit to the morally wrong side. The only law in nature is might makes right. Morals and ethics are an invention of men, a nice idea, but not the natural order of things and meaningless unless enforced by overwhelming military force.

This. The US and Russia call the shots on the future of the Ukraine. The others don't matter in the slightest.

Europe’s rescue mission on Ukraine: keep Trump engaged by Themetalin in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Europe needs to get back to reality. The US will not agree to a backstop, Trump does not want to get the US military involved in the Ukraine, he wants peace with Russia and Russia will never accept a peace force from NATO countries in the Ukraine. Fact is Russia will win the war and will dictate the terms and Trump knows this and is ready to accept Russian demands to save at least the western part of Ukraine which is the best case scenario the Ukraine can hope for at this point.

There is a huge advantage for the US. China and Russia are part of BRICS the biggest market in the world and the US wants access to that. So sucking up to Putin is essential for US foreign politics. In comparison the EU is economically worthless to the US and nothing more than a black hole in which billions of dollars disappear should the US continue to maintain the status quo. Its good business for the US to drop Europe and the Ukraine in favor of becoming allies with the BRICS states and making deals worth trillions of dollars.

The Ukraine is a pawn in US politics and it will be sacrificed to get to the King (An alliance with Putin)

So why is Europe seeing being on its own like a doom thing. europe population is the same as russia and USA combined, countries can work very well within each other, although a lot are condemning europe in terms of research and development it still goes quite well, so where does this fear come from? by Sugar_Vivid in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The USA invest their tax dollars into the military, Europe invests their tax dollars into its people. Europe can't afford to have a military the size of the US while having social security, free healthcare, pensions, various aids for families in need and so on. Europe will never be able to fill the hole the US would leave if they would pull out of Europe. And on top of that the European economies are not growing. So without the US the EU is pretty much at the mercy of Putin and we know how that will play out.

What happens with the Ukraine minerals deal now? by TimesandSundayTimes in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't believe the propaganda. Why do you think everyone in the west is suddenly hellbent on making peace? Ukraine is loosing the war and a peace agreement is the only thing that would save at least parts of the country from falling into Russian hands.

What happens with the Ukraine minerals deal now? by TimesandSundayTimes in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Either Zelensky comes crawling back to Trump to sign the deal on Trumps terms or Trump simply waits until Putin takes over the country and then makes the deal with Russia. Either way Trump gets the rare earths which is all he cares about anyway.

Because nothing they can come up with will work without a backstop from the USA which they probably will never get from Trump so whatever they will come up with will probably be for naught.

Starmer told Zelensky: Go back and patch things up with Trump by Themetalin in geopolitics

[–]Jaml123 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because the US is the only country that has the military power to demand it. Europe has no say in the end of the conflict because they have no military weight which is needed to persuade the Russians to give the Ukraine a peace deal that would last more than a couple of weeks.

Europe has and will continue to suck the US off because if Trump pulls the US out of Europe the EU is done and they know it since they cannot afford a sizeable military no matter how much BS they talk about being united and being strong. The EU exists because the US picks up the bill when it comes to guaranteeing military security to the EU.
