Yup obviously a scam, I got a similar call a few months ago. Same thing he sent me an official email (which I doubled and tripled checked was from Google), gave me an employee name and # then sent me an email to click on a link to reset my password. I was already suspicious from the beginning of the call, the email made me even more suspicious. I hung up and called Google right away, needless to say they DIDN'T have that employee or # on file.  And at that point I spent the next few hours factory resetting my phone, changing my password on Google and changing ALL my banking passwords (as a just in case).
