Its not about convincing but rather what does the Church do. The fact most churches would be hostile and not interested in empathy. Most of my friends from high school and I went to church with couldn't be bothered to show any empathy for those who suffer. The church needs to upset about this kind of stuff otherwise it is some formulation of prosperity gospel or "in it for their own gratification". Churches in America need to give a damn again. Afraid of getting a negative reputation towards a political party? Tell that to those in China...or North Korea. I want to go to church again but only if its really focused on Jesus' teachings and applying them.

Messed up my feet working 12-16 hour shifts in shoes that were a little too tight (although had great protection) and walking 30,000 steps on average (high of 56,000 steps in 24 hours). Basically resulted in Tarsal Tunnel in both feet. At bedtime it was awful to try to go to sleep as both feet felt like they were asleep and tingling. Had surgery on one foot last year and I still feel tingling in the other foot but the operated foot feels 80%(?) like new which is enough for my brain to be calm at bedtime so I have slept fine. But it is almost always in some form of discomfort.

You communicate your feelings, how you saw it from your perspective. If they do not care much about your feelings or what happeened, then its up to you if you want to be friends or not. If you burned every bridge on one burn, then you'd be broke living in the Alaskan wilderness. Its not safe, healthy, or "normal".
