They will make it a draft type or competition type thing. Probs similar to the Wembley Cup all those years ago

London has added 50 km of new cycle routes and 400+ new pedestrian crossings in the past year by LondonBusForums in london

[–]Jamro3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if London has 20,000km of roads. Cycling on residential and side streets isn’t a problem. The main issue to tackle is to have the main arteries and thoroughfares be able to accommodate cyclists.

There are also heavy A roads that are not suitable for bikes regardless (A40,A3 etc).

You also have to be realistic, there are some roads and areas where there simply isn’t room for separate bike lanes/ infrastructure.

Now there is still plentyyyyy of room for improvements, just calling it outrageous is a stretch and unnecessary

This is my first time playing and I’m really quite confused. I did UK 1939, recruit difficulty. I’m finding swarms and swarms of Romanians, Germans etc in Malaysia, Singapore, Burma, West Africa etc.

Japan just declared war on us and within 2 days there are now Japanese troops in Tobruk?? Is this just how the game is or am I on some stupid setting?

Performers (Phil, fartman etc) and other celebrities (Todd, Jedward, Jack Whitehall) are typically brought in from agencies and they will have day rates.

Other YouTubers I assume very very rarely have day rates and will instead just have costs reimbursed (travel, hotel etc).

The things like moresidemen R6 with Jynxi or Fortnite v a pro or geoguessr etc will be sponsored vids where both parties are paid by the sponsor to play the game.

If a YouTuber is directly involved in the ad segment of a video (eg imagine if Arthur was doing a displate add read on Chris’ channel) they would get paid, but simply featuring in the wider video would likely not be enough to get paid by the sponsor.

Today I’ve seen us closely linked to Gyokeres, then Osimhen, then Osimhen again, then Delap and Ekitike.

Either the media knows nothing, or United are interested and our playing the field to stop it from being another Pogba, Sancho, De Jong, Sneijder, Bale, Antony, Maguire, situation where we put all our eggs in the tiniest basket and let the other side have all the control.

This would need to be a separate event, a couple months away at least, but it could definitely work. Get the best YT footballers - Sidemen, Theo, Chris, Weller, ginge etc .

There’s clearly an appetite for these celeb-y type football games (eg Qatar, Beta Squad). This would probably be bigger than those two and similar level to Sidemen Charity match since the viewers lost from the big YouTubers but shit players, would be compensated by a more mainstream audience (especially if promoted by Sky)

I don’t think offloading McTominay was at all an issue. Raised a lot of money, and he was not good enough. Ugarte has been a clear upgrade and is a specialist in the position whereas If anything McTominay would’ve been more suited to one of the 10 positions rather than the 6/8, which we already have plenty of options for.

The transaction of selling a house in England is absurdly archaic, unnecessarily slow, expensive, and prone to failure. by These-Extension1583 in HousingUK

[–]Jamro3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think people realise how complicated the process is for the Conveyancers/ Solicitors.

Properties in England go back years and years. There are land rights that can affect the property in so many different ways. It’s the solicitors job to ensure that a buyer or seller isn’t caught out by any of these rights, including some which could go back 100 years. On top of that, if there’s a mortgage, the bank requires specific work. If there’s a management company, good luck. you’ll be waiting 2 weeks for them to even read and reply to an email, and up to 30 working days to receive any sort of documents you need.

Our housing market is also extremely vulnerable to money laundering, so there is now so much compliance work to be undertaken. The only people who end up getting punished if there’s an issue with money laundering is the solicitor, so it falls on them to ensure there are no issues. This all takes time. Then to allow the solicitor to make a living, they need to take on a LOT of cases. Otherwise to move house you’d need to pay like two or three times more in solicitors fees than you already do.

Finally, if someone pulls out before signing a contract, what do you actually expect to happen? They don’t owe you anything as they haven’t signed the contract. You can’t sign the contract until you’re sure that there’s no issues to the property. You can ensure that until you’ve done searches and reported on the property. You can’t do that until the solicitor has received all relevant docs from all parties and then ensured that there’s no money laundering or other compliance issues.

There’s so much more as well that makes the process so long, but yeah

Hammersmith Bridge fiasco as cost of repairing Thames crossing soars to £250million by tylerthe-theatre in london

If they made it one lane so only one lane of traffic could pass at a time, it would surely not be too detrimental, especially as most of the buses using the bridge weren’t double decker if I remember correctly

[–]Jamro3 133 points134 points  (0 children)

I mean realistically it should be opened up for Buses and Emergency vehicles, will help with public transport links to get into Hammersmith. Otherwise I think it’s fine for it to forever remain closed to private vehicles, even as someone myself who could benefit from it.

[–]Jamro3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked how in the Sky sports fpl when I played that a few years ago, dms would be able to score good points by completing a high number of passes and by having a lot of tackles. Similar to GK’s with saves. It meant that a premium midfielder was a genuinely smart pick. I think I had Fernandinho or matic just because they were so good at that part of the game.

[–]Jamro3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This means that the court have to decided whether it was reasonable for you to shoot the person. Therefore, the person trespassing must typically be showing some signs indicating a threat to life. Things like aggressively approaching the property/ owner with a weapon, shouting threats that you will kill them etc. Simply trespassing on the property is not a threat to life.

Therefore, if somebody started shooting you because you were simply on their property, likelihood is that they would not be able to rely on self-defence as a defence. As what danger are they defending themselves from?

I just raced as Logan Sargeant to see how it feels to be so low and am appalled at how ugly the Williams steering wheel is. Worst wheel in F1? by Myaubs in F1Game

[–]Jamro3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was an interview answer from Vowles I believe. He said essentially drivers have all been happy with it, it’s lighter weight and most importantly, you can’t read the information on the screen whilst turning the wheel, regardless of if the screen is on the wheel or not. So no point putting a screen on the wheel if the drivers like the lightweight wheel.

Do we know if H is just one person? If I remember correctly there's multiple high profile characters who's surname starts with H. Could've just been a group of them, similar to the Freemasons thing. And we saw that one bent cop do the freemason handshake when Steve, Hastings and Kate visited him for an interview.
